A Rewarding Job

Over the years, I have had many different jobs. From the corporate world to assisted living. I got to thinking about how rewarding my jobs have been. The corporate ones, not at all, only helping some guy to line his pockets with tons more money. Not for me. But, the jobs that I have had helping the homeless, children and now the elderly have really made me feel good about what I do. Sure, these jobs don't pay much, but you are rewarded with so much more. Yesterday, I really felt blessed in what I am doing at my new job when my elderly clients told me how much they really loved the work I was doing for them and wanting me to continue as their family assistant. When I left for home after my shift, I wanted to cry. Not tears of sorrow, but tears of joy. I feel that I found my place and am so grateful for the fact that I can help others.
