Hello Mylotters! How are you today?
I have this problem with my samsung corby 2 phone. It just happens randomly. I don't know why. Okay. Here it is. The problem is that whenever I go to the messages, there is a prompt message saying that "Memory Low. Delete Some Messages to Receive New Messages."
What do you think may have caused it? Do you think it will be solved? Please help me.
I haven't found a solution yet in the internet so far. I have been complaining about this problem for quite sometime now.
Thanks a lot!

I always receive a lot of incoming calls and messages everyday my friend. It is important for me to check those because we don't know it is very important. Until now, I am still experiencing this problem. I am getting used to it. I guess it is already part of my phone life.

Thanks...Here is one solution that worked for me just now. Went to files, selected the Phone tab, then went to images, moved a bunch of photos (in fact one folder) to the Memory card. And now when I go to Messages, the problem is gone.

I'd call the company that issued the phone. They would probably know what the problem is.

That's something really weird, i have corby too but maybe because i do not keep all messages, i do not really have this problem. i have a samsung phone but it is running on android operating system... and i have got about a thousand messages and its still quite okay with it. :P i guess some more advanced phones nowadays won't even leave you with that kind of problem. its alll about the phone's memory or capacity to store messages.

Hello chiyosan! You're very right. Maybe the Samsung Corby 2 has a problem with its memory capacity. I am not alone with this problem. As I have searched in the internet, a lot are confused what to do and how to resolved it. That's why I will just find my own way to solve this problem. Somehow it worked but it keeps on coming back.
Thanks anyway for this wonderful response. Happy new year too you!

It simply says that you're phone has low memory, but you are right there are many factors to it. I can give you some help. Try checking your inbox, outbox, and other messaging area. It could be full, so if it is, free up some space by deleting some. Also check your internal memory as you might really have low internal memory space, if this is the case, transfer all your photos, music, videos, etc to an external memory. If you see that your internal memory free space is good enough and you still get this message try checking out for open applications, as running on multitasking could eat up some space. Close all unused applications and check if this problem still occurs. Now the last thing is your final option, if all else failed. Set your phone to factory reset erasing all data. Make sure you have all important things, like contacts, photos, messages, reminders, etc., backed-up into your memory card and just to be safe, remove your memory card before doing this. I hope this helps. Good luck!

@cearn,
you can configure it using your laptop, download all important details to your laptop or computer before you start the configuration and let all the files deleted from your phone.

I guess this is the disadvantage for Samsung phones. At least I know. You are right, Nokia phones is way better when it comes to memory problems because we can just put it to the memory card. I hope Samsung people will solve the issue. It is pretty annoying when the message pops out.

hi cearn25, I myself have used the same cell phone as you do and this is a regular problem with majority of samsung phones. samsung does not provide memory card storage for messages like nokia and a lot of others do so you have to deal with limit of messages, there's nothing you can do about it.

U are keeping too many messages in your phone and unless some of them are deleted, u won't be able to receive or send any messages. haha I thought such messages only happened to older version phones and i didn't expect it to happen for samsung corby as well? What u have to do is simply delete some old messages in your inbox or received messages, and things will be back to normal. If possible, delete all your received messages, that will free up all your memory space.. haha

Does this phone has internal and external memory? Maybe the internal memory is full. Did you checked about it? If problem persist, you can visit any Samsung store and have it checked :)

Most phones have a limit to the amount of SMS (Text) messages they can store, and if you don't have them set up to automatically delete them, you get that warning. Have a look in the set-up of your messaging, and see if you can set a limit on the amount of messages that are kept. I keep my standard flip phone to 99 messages, and my Android phone to 299, as it saves them on the SD card. The exact setting to change varies from phone to phone, but I would check there first to see if that is where your issue lies.

I have checked the set-up of my messaging but it is nowhere to be found that limit of number of number of messages. I hate this. I haven't done any accomplishment about this problem of mine. I don't know where to go to. I have checked the phone from its settings and other areas but still no use.
