Hi dilrajj, this has nothing to with anyone else but the members, I am sure that enough members have already explained that to you.However, in my own case my star rate has remained more or less the same for years now...all the best and happy mylotting

That was not the point I was making, in fact I really do not care or bother about rating or star...I was generally talking about it.Whether someone likes my comment or not is their own lookout, as for me, I post whatever I think is appropriate - all the best and have a nice weekend

i see that yours figures now 2923, but rate is low still now, i agree with you, its mean that friends have not rating to us? may be so, or may be i am in wrong and the friends will devoted here in mylot to everyone, as we have not any dislike to any friends here in mylot, you ope you remember so.

ok friend, every one has own choice, and we cannot bother about rating or star. we have to keep ourselves with work then in result what we able to get. thanks you comments, now i not like to declare myself that what i can do with our friends about rating.

You could actually go from zero to ten, in theory, in probably one day if you have participated in many discussions, and were rated positively in all of them. this just means that you could also go from 10 to way down if you are rated negatively in many discussions.

Our star is decided by others. They rate our activity.
If your friend received many plus ratings that particular day then their star would have risem.
It rises (and falls) quicker when we have fewer posts too because it is based on percentages.

Now I see, I just interchanged it, earnings are based on the number of posts as well as quality post. On the other hand, rates or reputations were based on other mylotters who rated our posts or our comments. Am I right?

Rating or reputation really depends on how many quality post your freind made for the previous day. Perhaps, your fried really worked for the previous day in participating in severa discussions. Also, your friend might posted quality responses of comments that day.
You may go to mylot's FAQs for other ideas how you earn and being rated in the posts you made.

I think it really depends on the amount of post your friend made on the previous day. Furthermore, the rating or reputation also depends on the quality of the posts she/he made for that day. Just go to the FAQs of mylot and you might find other ideas on how does mylot rating as well as earning s being conducted.

you will see that the star depends ONLY on how others have rated your posts.
It has nothing to with acyivity. If we are inactive our star could still change, and go up ir down, if people are reading and rating our activity.

That is fabulous that someone has gone from 5 to 8 in one day. I have been trying for weeks to get to 8 and so far I'm still at seven. I will keep on keeping on until I get there thought. I'm trying real hard, but apparently not as hard as the person who went up three numbers in one day.
It does as everyone said depend on the ratings you get from the other mylotters and if you have bunches of posts you can get bunches of good ratings in one day.

hi friends after long time you now. i surprised that at once to up from 5 to 8, i now in 6 rate from one month but sill i not reach to 7 in a month. that is also my firend and i happy for that. can i know that where you were many days not attend mylot?

The star rating that we have on mylot is based on the ratings that we get from other mylot members based on the discussions that we have started and also those that we have responded to.
I am not completely sure about this part, but I also think that our rating is only based on the last hundred ratings that we have gotten.

okey fried, now i understand what you said here that it based on the last hundred ratings gotten by others, but i am surprised that when my one friends here in mylot star was 5 less than me, but after 12 hours his/her start rate was 8 and the other day was reached 9, i dont know how he/she got 4 stare in one night? It depends how much people is rated her good.If the user rated her positive more and less negative the rating will go high.
It is up and down.
