I am an over-achiever when it comes to making to do lists. I made one for yesterday and it was almost a page long - but I managed to get a little under half of it done, which is a disappointing feeling! I realized I love making the lists when I'm bored, but I am terrible at actually following through with them - .
Do you make to do lists? If so, how often?
And do you actually FINISH everything on said to do lists?

I'm a big "lister". I write lists about everything. I have no idea why I'm so hell bent on it, but I am. However I am like you and never actually cross everything off the list. I agree that maybe I'm setting my daily "to do list" goals too high making it nearly impossible to actually finish everything. And I too get disappointed when I see that I didn't complete the list.

When making to-do lists, we should be realistic. I admit I'm like you too. At first, I cannot complete my list and I get frustrated because there are unfinished things in the list. So I became more realistic now. Now, all of the things in my list are done by the end of the day.

I don't really make my own to-do list because I memorize my own chores at home. I usually finish at least five chores a day - cooking, washing dishes, laundrying, feeding the dogs and taking care of my daughter. It goes on and it's been an everyday task for me. However I make my own grocery list so that I won't have to forget what to buy for our needs at home for a week.

I don't really make my own to-do list when I do chores at home because usually I memorize the usual tasks every single day - cooking, washing dishes, laundrying, sweeping the floor, mopping the floor, feeding the dogs, taking care of my daughter, working online and so on. It goes around and it is always repeatable each day. However, I do make my own grocery list so that I won't have to forget what I need to buy for our needs at home.

I am a good list maker and a poor list doer. If I get distracted in anyway I put the list down and then pretty soon I even forget where I put it. When I move out of here I am sure we are going to find this hugh pile of undone lists put neatly away and forgotten. Blessings

I too make TODO lists all the time. I even make mental TODO lists in the morning after I get out of bed. It's a way for me to wake up. I would start off, with 1-pee(TMI), 2-brush teeth, 3-shave, etc., etc.
Now, this mental list I complete all the time. Because it means that I can go to work when it's done. But the other list that I have on my desk at work does not get completed everyday. Sometimes, it even gets longer each day.

I make "to do" lists for each day. I set out the same number of tasks for myself each day. However, my lists are long, and there are usually several items that I dread completing. So, I do end up never actually completing the entire list by the end of the day. I do, however, manage to check some things off.
I probably should make shorter lists. However, I've sort of gotten attached to my long lists.

I am an under-achiever when it comes to making lists and executing it! :D
I never even manage to do a couple of the things on the list properly if I make a list. If I do not make anything called as lists, then I manage to finish almost all the tasks that I think and sometimes even do a little more extra tasks which could be done later.
Cheers! Happy mylotting to you too! :)
