About 3 years ago I started a little garden in a small space at the back of my house. I went to the nursery for some compost. Then a few months later a notice 2 small plants coming up out of the ground which I did not plant. I then planted the one in a big flower pot and the other one directly into the soil. Lo and behold it started to creep up and I had to get it some support.A year later I notice some flowers on this creeper. It was amazing to see these flowers that closed up after 3 days. After some days a little green fruit was hanging on the creeper. It was passion fruit!! Now for the past 3 years we are enjoying delicious passion fruits.I will post some photos at a later stage. Have to sign out now.

Firstly...let me give you a big, hearty welcome to myLot! Passiflora's are one of my favourite creepers (vines)and the genus is quite large! Being in a "zone 7" my passiflora's do NOT grow fruit, as the nights are too cold! Since you are "new" to myLot...I am wondering what you would like us to discuss here, as there is no questions asked...nor reason for some-one to respond, in order for this to be a discussion. Take care...and enjoy your stay here!

Hi all myLoters, Thank you for the big, hearty welcome.I would really like to know how many people are growing passion fruit creepers in their garden at home. What do they do with the fruit? Everyday I get fruit falling from the creepers.I give away to family, friends and neighbours,I have 2 passion fruit mixed in with my bulgarian yoghurt in the morning.Sometimes with real vanilla ice-cream...delicious!!

squash plant - This are young squash plants
Hello there, I also tried my hands on gardening. I bought some plants from a nursery just like you. I started planting ornamental plants but I have a better hands on short term veggies such as tomatoes, pepper, squash, and pechay. I am still hoping to grow some flowers some day.
