Which is more effective? Rushing and cramming at the last hour? or reviewing your notes way before the teachers announce an exam? Is it reviewing from 10pm onwards? or waking up at 3am and reviewing until the sun rises? Im a fan of cramming! hehe. the panic feeling makes me easily memorize my notes but only for a short time memory only... how about you? what strategy do you do to get a good grade? thanks for sharing!

Well, we have different learning style. Some may prefer to study alone while some prefer to study in a group. I love the 2 styles. I love studying with a group during review and I love to review with myself too. I first read notes by myself and then I go along with my friends. We do the questions and answers activities as a review. I do not like cramming because it gives me so much stress. While I hate it, there are times, I cannot avoid cramming especially during tight schedules.

I often cram, in fact, I love cramming. Panic feelings surely motivate me to memorize the things I need to. But I also do wake up early and brush up on my notes. If I study late at night, the bed tempts me to sleep so I usually go to sleep early then wake up early as well. You should go with what you're used to. If you change your habit now, you'll have a hard time adjusting to the new one you have developed.

each of us have different techniques when it comes to study. According to our professor when I was still in college, he said that it is better to have your lessons studied in the evening or way before the teacher announces the exam than waking up early. Sometimes, waking up early might make you sleepy during the exam date which could lead you to loose all the ideas that you memorized. Taking the exam in a relaxed mode makes your mind work better. Also, I think memorization, like what you said could only last for a short time. Understnading the lesson is better because it will last for a longer time.

hi there, my strategy ever since has been... studying in advance and finish everything before going to sleep. if my exams are weeks away then i make the most of the time i have. i study everyday, one topic at a time. and i can never study when there is noise around me even music. and also i can never study with other people's notes. i always make my own and i read and take a lot of sample questions to test my capability. it is what i do since college and what i did before i took my licensure exam. i didn't go to a review center because i can't afford to pay for it especially that i don't ask money from my parents. even though i studied on my own, i passed the board exam and i took it only one it made me proud of myself.

Each person has different studying strategy. Like you some do tend to have good score when they studying near the exam time while others study ahead of the allotted time. My studying style is sleeping early and waking up at around 3 or 4am to read on my notes and go back to sleep after. Maybe I am just a sucker for good sleep but I think it is more effective to have a clear mind. Afterwards when I get to school and nearing the time of the exam I review my notes.

Write the most important things you learned during the day. Synonyms or concepts, definitions or whatever you want. And try to do the same as you would learn a language. Go over them at least once a day and at the day of the exam you won't have any problem. At least it worked and it still works for me.
