who is GOD? and who invented God?

All I know about God is, He is an infinite being. No one created Him, and His life will also continue on without any ending. I also asked the same question when I was a kid. My teacher couldn't answer me when I asked her who created her. On a different theory, God is an energy that lives within us. Science suggests that God is an infinite energy, much like my first description, although He lives among all of us, which is also told by the holy bible. Well, I like to make my life simple so the description I'm keeping is "God is the one that gave us life, so He can also take it away as fast as a *snap*".

That has been my question too if who invented God. Your son is very smart to think that right away because in my case I've only realized that kind of question when I am already in mid 20's of age.

Dear Arun ! I am an Atheist! That doesn't mean that I disregard the God or his / her existence! But then I don't like the way people worship the God! Basically we all human beings are born same, but then why do we need to have so many Gods, who change according to the religion? Thus it is a clear that human being has created the God to form a sect or group where he can live with confidence! This is the reason why we have so many religions today and many new ones are erupting on regular basis. Example the Buddhism, Jainism, Sikhism are all originated from Hindu religion! Similarly the Bahai religion is a recent one originated from Muslim religion. There are many similarities between Christianity and Muslim religion. But by making few changes in them they have become two different religions and today they are fighting against each other on religion basis, which is pathetic! In nature if we observe carefully every thing is made so beautifully that it requires no human intervention for its sustenance and continuation! There is a nice food chain in the nature. For every one nature has provided food and shelter may it be a animal or plant living on the land on in the water! Every thing is systematically arranged for the living organisms to survive! There are various seasons , various landscapes, various plants and animals which keep this natured balanced! The Sun is the principle source of Energy and by using this the plants are preparing food and animals are depending on the plants for their food. The larger animals are preying on the smaller one and thus this chain goes on! For anything happening in nature there is a solid reason! If we look at the seasons we see that after the hot summer we have nice rains where we have lot of green vegetation which is followed by winter where the animals propagate in the flourishing environment! This is just an example I am quoting!Thus every thing in nature has been planned as if some one has given a deep thought about it and every thing has been created with unique features, which includes our own race - the Human race. Thus we have to accept the fact that there is some super natural power that is governing this nature! And the people they call this as 'God'! But in my opinion, man has not understood yet what is this super natural power and without even understanding it, he has created his own stories to call this power as God and tried to personify this power which I don't approve! Thus in my opinion , the God Has been created by Human being and is being misused today by him only! Thanks !

That question is the same as which came first, the chicken or the egg? You need to have an egg to get a chicken but you need to have a chicken to lay the egg. Every person has a different opinion and offer their opinion. I believe that there is not real correct answer. Search in your own heart to find an answer. If you still can't find the answer, then tell your son the truth that you don't know who is God and who invented God because they are hard questions to answer. But let your son know that if you find out the answer, he will be the first one you will tell. And if your son finds the answer, get him to let you know. Get him to express what he thinks about God. Even allow him to believe what he wants to believe as your son will find comfort in his own beliefs. I know that this is not an answer for the question but guidence in helping you to find the answer within your own beliefs and the beliefs of your son.

i believe in God...for me god is a belief that there is someone to take care of u, always ready to lend his ears to me when i need the most, to guide me when i need the most, to help understand wht is right and wht is wrong...i have never seen god ...never seen ghost as well...we need to tell kids that he is the one who brought us here in this world...and he is always there to help us when we need him...

The church tells us who god is but I think everybody should think for them self. Nobody should tell you in what to believe in. God is what or who you believe in. If you think he is a strange old man in heaven, thats god for you. If you think god is the energy we all have inside us, thats your believe.

god is that person in some people's head, if you don't want to blame yourself or be responsible yourself you need someone else who can be blamed or who is. If you feel insecure or unhappy you think out something or someone who might rescue you, and ofcourse it's not for free (sacrafice, suffering, you mention it ..) Most people seem to need a hero to look upon, feel better if a strong person is near them (if not you make one up). To some it gives more courage, to others more faith or it makes their life easier if they know it will go like it is ment to be. So it was always there, it just changed through the ages.. instead of a tree or stone someone who looks like us.
