Hi all! I have an audio file that I need to transcribe but this has poor quality and it's really hard for me to comprehend. I have tried using Audacity but it does very little help. I just want to ask you all if you knew of a software or any suggestions that would help me remove the background noises and improve the audio file. I would very much appreciate your response and help, I really need it so much. Thank you!

Try using ExpressScribe which has special audio processes to include background noise reduction, decreasing background noise, enhancing the audio itself with loudness control, extra volume boost and high pass filter. You can download it for free.

Thanks obe212003! Tried that one too it helped a bit but didn't quite resolved my problem. The file has some background noises, the volume is very low, and the speaker mumbles. Now I have a hard time removing those noises but could still make up, I have to slow down the audio and boost the volume but when I do that, the voice becomes distorted. Do you know of any software that allows me to do that without affecting the quality of the voice? Again, thank you!:)

Hey! Thanks obe! I'll try that one. Yeah, it is true. The task becomes really tedious if the audio file is inaudible, time-consuming. Anyway, thanks! I was able to finish it with patience.:) Are you doing transcription presently?
