In my case it's basically all the time. When i'm pissed off with something i can calm down if a listen to a very joyful song. If i'm too relaxed i put on a heavy metal and there i go !!! Is it the same with you guys?

Music always influences my mood. And my mood influences what music I will listen to.
Usually I'm a very chipper person and like to listen to feel-good music. This could be anything from upbeat country, to hip-hop, to pop. Anything that makes me want to smile and/or move. On the way to work in the morning, it gets me pumped and ready for my day. When I'm out with friends, working out, cleaning the house. It also works for me when I'm having one of those days where I think too much. My favorite songs in this category: "New Shoes" by Paolo Nutini, "Still Standing" by Monica, "Sweet Serendipity" by Lee Dewyze, "Something more" by Sugarland, "Good Feeling" by Flo Rida... The list goes on. And on. And on.
When I'm angry I like to listen to rock. Usually Three Days Grace. I rock out to a few of their songs and I feel as though I just vented and yelled at the thing bothering me. And I feel a little better. Sometimes working out to rock music gets me pumped too.
I listen to love songs when I'm in a lovey-dovey mood. Country, R&B, pop, whatever. Sometimes you just want to slow dance in the living room or serenade each other. Love songs make me feel safe. Yea, yea, I'm mushy.
