I'm about ready to leave mylot

But won't your friend or person you know now know your New name since you posted it in here? I know I have never had to worry about changing my user name in here and there are a lot of things I have shared over the yrs. about people and things going on in my life. Right now for me this is the Best place besides some really close friends to share about what is happening.

Honestly I don't get it.. You worried that your friends would see your username and your posts, but now you are telling everyone that "engdee8406" would be your new username.. Those friends of yours will also definitely know it if they read this discussion! You can cancel your account, but it doesn't mean all of your posts that you made in the past will being deleted..

Please think carefully about cancelling and starting again Read these responses carefully before you take such drastic action because just changing your username will not remove your previous posts. They will remain here for everyone to read therefore, if you were thinking that no-one would see them, that will not be the case We should always consider carefully what we post on any site, not just here on myLot, because anyone anywhere can read what we type regardless of whether they are a member of the site or not.

hi marty my son is a computerprogrammar and iks up o n useage of comuters. he always cautions me do not write anything on the net you do not want the whole world to know. so maybe he does have a point if you think this person will somehow read what you wrote 'and be hurt.but if this person is a real friend would not it be easier to just talk to him or her and explain things and apologize if its necessary? you have been here awhile and racked upt 1891. if you start over with new account and user name you will be going backwards. course its really up to you anyway,we can merely suggest our own ideas. if you are close just explain what you meant and stay the way you are.just saying hugs from hatley[

Your title could in some sense be a little misunderstood. It says you're thinking of leaving Mylot, but then reading through your thread, I realized that your intuition is simply to change your nickname. I hope have understood , because when a person, even for personal reasons, definitely abandoned Mylot, this saddens me.

You will lose your star rating and reputation. nad you have posted your new username also. so what do you do if someone(that you know) joins mylot and participate in this discussion. I think it is a bad idea.

Do you think it's the best thing to do? Why not talk with that person and make things clear.You've gone a way too far with the number beside your username. Maybe take some leave , a week or few days and come back as fresh as you are before.
