What the big deal about the Magnum Ice Cream?

Philippines

I just tried the classic flavor of the Magnum Ice Cream when one of our consultants gave a treat. For several days now, my FB wall is bombarded by this hype and I wondered what's in this ice cream that may people lined up to even with its price of P50 (Philippine Peso) which is quite expensive for its size. It the belgian chocolate coating that made the difference. It tasted great but I'm still not in the rave for it. The Cornetto taste good too at half the price. But I heard that there will soon be other flavors of the Magnum in the market (so far, the classic and almond flavors and the only ones available here), so I'm looking forward to more yummier ice cream.

Magnum has really a different taste compared to does common ice creams sold on stick. What it makes it special is the taste of the chocolate that is not the ordinary chocolate used on cheap ice creams. But I really think that its quite overpriced although it tastes better.

haha, there is no big deal about it, what's great that their marketing did and planned was just successful, they had these sold in convenient stores, and well, people went gaga over it.. and that's just about it.

I haven't tried that though I have plans to taste it as well. My cousin even told me that ice cream is trending now.

I've never heard of Magnum ice cream! I wonder if it is available in the US? My favorite ice cream is Talenti Gelato. They have the best tasting pistachio ice cream, but it's also pretty expensive for a little pint :(
