Have you ever been in the Philippines and in Leyte?... right now the the Philippine Agency "Department of Tourism" is promoting the Philippine tourism under its new slogan "ITS MORE FUN IN THE PHILIPPINES".. there are various fun places in the Philippines you can visit and find place to relax and a more exciting place to be with... but id say that its even more fun to be in Leyte.. Leyte in the Philippines is a known place for its historic events in the past wherein the Liberation of the Philippines over the Japanese control started when General MacArthur complied to his promise " I SHALL RETURN"... Leyte has a lot of culture to share with and nature you need to experience..i advice you to try the longest, tallest and fastest Zipline in the Philippines located in Agas Agas , Southern Leyte, the Agas Agas Zipline.. then there is also the Island getaway experience in Digyot island in Inopacan, Leyte, and some other places... the Capital of Leyte which is Tacloban City, a green City wherein you can experience a mixture or nature and modern city.. people in tacloban the waray waray are friendly and the city has a lot of places, i mean good places to stay with.. also the longest brigde in the Philippine connecting Leyte and Samar can be found in the place... with regards to the safety of the tourist.. Leyte is declared to be a place free of insurgents and its a peaceful place to be with..

it's nice to note of your appreciation and promotion of our local tourism. i spent quite a few years working in the visayas and mindanao... and region 8/ leyte has been one of the areas i frequented to a lot before. tacloban, palompon, carigara, ormoc, abuyog and baybay are just some areas i visited. i like the fact that we often get to eat seafoods a lot, and i didn't have to have security briefing if i travel with foreigners. (unlike when i traveled in mindanao like lanao, cotabato, zamboanga, basilan and sulu.) it's a peaceful and friendly atmosphere. quite a number of hotels and resorts and food is reasonably priced. i was able to have my first try of baked scallops in ormoc, and i always have one since, whenever i visit the region. how long is the zipline from agas agas? i was able to do maybe 250+ meters only in antipolo. i know there's 400m someplace else.

below the Agas Agas Zipline is the Agas Agas Bridge which has a height of 292 feet above the ground and i cant really say how tall the Zipline is.. from the bridge to the Zipline is a Mountain tall height... i Advised you to try the Agas Agas Zipline.. i think the Zipline will last in a 2-5 mins to reached the ground... its pure adrenaline action that you need to experience.. i kinda like your job that you go around in philippines visiting places.. i wish i had that kind of job.. by the way.. if you ever visit Tacloban again.. go to OCHO Grill and try its Baked Scallops... Baybay is known for its Inasal wherein you will be dining in the sea shore..

i'm in a different job now, but it still creates opportunities to visit other places and play tourist. unlike in previous job wherein it's mostly work. 2-5 minutes in the zipline... wow... that long. the one that i experienced was less than a minute. hehe i'd make a mental note on ocho grill. but i'm basically easy to please. anywhere with baked scallops is fine by me.

thank you for the comment... i forgot to watch the Rated K episode because i was so fixated on national geographic documentary titled "inside malacaƱang".. i plan to watch it though on a review on youtube or at abs-cbn channel website... Leyte is a fun place to be, there are lot of beaches, and some historical place you can visit.. foods are cheap and you can taste the best lechon here in the philippines, which you can buy in Tanauan, Leyte. Many have said that cebu lechon is the best lechon in philippines but once you tasted the lechon in Tanauan, Leyte, you'l surely change that belief..

My grandmother is from Tacloban City. I love the place and I missed it.It's been ages since the last time I visited the place. I love the beaches , oh yeah, I remember when our boat turned upside down and everyone is looking at me.They're on panic and I was laughing hiding under the boat :p
