That's what I'm afraid of, facebook keeps changing it's theme/designs, including privacy and visibility without us knowing firsthand. We should all be careful when posting our statuses, comments, pictures, etc for we don't know what effect it will have on other people. You may feel inhibited, but it's better to be cautious than be sorry in the end.

Personally most people never tend to think about what they post on Facebook is out there for the whole World to see, and seriously can be later used against you in so many ways. I know jobs where I have interviewed for that ask if I have a Facebook account, and want the information. So you need to really be careful. That is why I tend to never put stuff that is really personal unless it is in a message to someone.

I have heard several people have been fired for posting on Facebook. One person that was on my news was saying bad things about their boss, so the person was fired. Personally, I feel if you post anything on line you should be prepared that your job could be affected by what you say and how you act.
I think if your not happy with your job, then look for another position. Life is to short to be unhappy with somebody else. I enjoy my job and feel great knowing I make a difference in other peoples lives now.

How did she get fired from the job exactly? I know it's a hassle if Facebook did change her settings automatically without her knowledge but I am also intrigued on how she was fired just because of her privacy settings. Well, either way, we'll just have to be extra careful on how we manage our Facebook accounts.

she changed her privacy to view friends only and facebook changed to everyone
Nah, I doubt that's the real case. Perhaps she was just being careless that she didn't check the privacy settings once more before posting things.
What exactly happened that made her got fired anyway?
Just follow the golden rules, I think:
do not post things in internet that you don't want the whole world know.

A teacher got fired? Wow, so unlucky she was. I did try to change my Facebook so that only some people can view it. Somehow I don't know why, it did not work! So recently I just concern on my words and status posted. Hope that Facebook can make this more secure for users.

It's a pity she got fired for this!
I agree, we should be careful about what we share on Facebook. There are privacy settings, but I noticed they don't work the way they are supposed to. I was surprised when I saw people liking my posts - those people who should not have seen them So I rather don't share anything that I don't want everyone to see.
