My bank will suggest me change my password every three months. And it said that it would be safer for my online bank account. However, I seldom will change any of my online passwords if it is not necessary. I like to keep it the same all the time so that I will not get confused or create troubles for myself not access to my account. How about you?

That's a a problem in this century , we have lots of username and password in many sites to remember..
I changed my password periodically, but it's very rarely. I am too lazy to change them all - since I've got lots of username/password combination..

i often change my online transaction password because i forget what password i kept before. I use to choose password which i can remember. Still i forget what i keep. For part three months i didnt change my password and i an happy that i remember it. It is good to change our password once in three months for safety purpose. We should not disclose our password to anyone and we foot need to change our password. If we disclose to someone then it is better to change our password.

I know I should, but I don't change my passwords that often. Once my email got hacked, then I changed the passwords for every account I use... since they are all different passwords, I doubt I would remember all if I changed all of them every 3 months. It doesn't matter if I forget one password, but if I can't open my emails either where my passwords were sent, that's trouble

Not often. I change it once in a year sometimes...or else it will be difficult for me to remember and keep track. When I change the password, I change the password of all the sites I regularly to the same one...easier to remember. I don't change the bank password at all.

Hi youless, although I understand that changing online bank password every now and then is safer I'm still lazy to do. Yeah, I have the same problem I may forget my new passwords or be confused if they are changed frequently. I would like to create a new one when I'm asked again and again.
I was once forced to change my password for I couldn't log in my account. after I had typed my password followed by another request to type a new password. No other alternative I had to do so. I created a complicated one that time and no more new password is asked to enter for several months already. I had to jot it down in somewhere which is safe as I had to refer to it initially. I could remember it now after typing it many times I hope such situation doesn't occur anymore.
Happy posting

I keep a notepad with my passwords on it so I don't get confused and can get into my accounts. If you don't want to take a chance on having your accounts hacked into then you really need to change your passwords every three months. It depends on how safe you want to be and how lucky you think you are.

Youless, usually i will change my password for important sites once a month. to make sure that my account is secure and free from hacker. Nowadays, it is very risky to maintain the same password for a longer period of time. Because hackers are getting smarter, so better always change the password as frequently as possible. Maybe in future, i plan to change my password, once every two weeks.

Currently I don't have the habit of changing my online passwords regularly. In my view, we should keep a balance between safety and convenience. If I change my online passwords every two or three months, it will cost me a lot of energy to remember these renewing character combinations. In order to protect my accounts, I could think out some other ways, which seems more feasible.

So there you have it, all the pros and cons of changing your password often, and it boils down to you making the final decision !
I think it is 50/50 for and against!
And to me it depends on if you have a lot to lose or very little to lose!
Me personally, if I had a lot to lose I would advise changing passwords often, it would be safer, and not taking a chance!
But right now for me, I don't have that much at stake to lose, so I don't ever hardly change my passwords, and have not ever had any trouble!
It's your decision ! !

In our company, we are required to change password every 3 months. But on my non-company email account, I don't change it because I tend to forgot the password and its hassle. I understand the importance of having complete security to our mails but I am not into it now. Company's should do it because its business but for me, not for now.

Yeah me too, I am not gonna change my account password if that's not necessary. Because if I change my password frequently maybe I am gonna be confused what my password is or maybe I am gonna forget what's new password. And' that's all gonna cause some problem of course...,
