few months ago when i started to received additional workload at the office. at first it was exciting for me coz i'm up for the challenge and i really want that promising offer (career advancement). but after a few weeks i begun to felt overwhelmed and i felt that my stress level is spiking due to my eagerness to do my work perfectly.
i thought that if i try to manage my time with my work it will lessen my stress but their are other factors i need to consider like officemate. so i thought of other ways to fight burnout feeling.
i read in a magazine that we need to balance work and liesure to prevent this kind of feeling. some of the ways i do is that i not allow myself to be stuck in office, piled with paperworks, during breaks go out of my cubucle/desk and consume my break hours in the garden or join my officemate and eat-out. i sometimes play relaxing song while at work, it help me relax my mind.
how about you, how do you fight feeling of burnout/stress at workplace?

I work as a cashier and there are times it gets very busy and we really can't get away from the register. We feel a bit "burnt out" but can't do anything about it. Usually it only happens for an hour or two and then it is fine agan. When it is fine again I get away from the register and do what I can to clean around it all while staying near so as to not get in trouble.
In this sense I get away, clear my mind, etc.
Now for my online work I play music whilst doing so so that I may have a bit of "stress relief through relaxing music".

The best way to outsmart stress related work is to actually like and enjoy what you are doing. We finish the work we love much faster and more perfectly. Only when one feels that work is a drag, the stress builds up. I like the way you are managing to avoid stress and given a chance, would like to try it.
