I lost 27 pounds in 4 months --- I'm so proud of myself

Believe me, I know very well how difficult it is to slim down and reduce weight. The last time, I've been in a normal BMI was when i was in grade 5 elementary years. haha. I've been struggling to trim down my weight since then.. Tried everything from south beach diet, 3 day diet... except medications i don't consider them an alternative, I wont sacrifice my liver for that... I have accepted to myself that I would never have the chance to wear clothes that i would look nice on. Until it did happen. all it took was self motivation and focus on what i really really want. haha Now, i get to wear a lot of those nice clothes and look neat in them ^_^

Wow! That's very cool. So what did you do to shed off those pounds. I want to try it out for myself. I want to wear clothes that slim people wears too.

mm... i can say it now, haha... Tho, I am not yet wearing those slim clothes... haha eat healthier and at least do something. Even the slightest effort to burn some calories if you do it in routine, you would lose weight. and avoid the bad kinds of food. You know what they are,.. fried foods, soda, cakes and chocolates, difficult to digest meat like pork, beef and lamb. Go with chicken and seafoods ^_^ but you can always eat those but with moderation. ^_^ and take a lot of veggies, fruits.. ^_^ do a routine exercise which you should promise yourself that you would really do consistently in a schedule you create hehe that's what i did! Holy cow! That is amazing! Congratulations on that huge milestone! I am also just starting to try to lose weight (I have lost about 6 pounds so far) - my goal is to lose the 'winter weight' as well as a little extra I've been carrying around for years... It has proved to be a big challenge so far (I hate being hungry! I miss eating a lot more carbs!) but I am also trying to step up my exercising a lot by walking & working out in the gym. Thanks maezee! Yeah i know very well the feeling of wanting to stuff all those carbs! haha Especially that my mom loves cooking so much and I love eating so much as well, hahaha

I'm happy for you. I just wish those pounds were transferable because I would have been most grateful for it. You see, I'm super thin and I really really want to gain weight. Anyway, good job and keep it up or should I say keep it slim?

^_^ thanks choybel. I would prefer the "keep it slim" haha. Anyway, i have a super thin friend too! And I am so jealous of her because she eats everything she wants and not gaining any pound at all. hahaha

Hi jd, great you lost your weight. But i am gaining day by day. I am afraid i may be gaining a one kg per month. I do so much hard work at home and i do some yoga etc., still i am gaining. Now because of lent days i am fasting thinking that i will reduce my weight and good if we do fasting in these days. Lets see after a month. I do take rich diet, may be that is also one of the reason i may be putting on weight. Have a nice day.

hello jotomy.. What i actually did was create a routine exercise. I even started with a puny 2-3 minute jogging. Just that! My siblings and my mom were actually laughing at me at first saying "what would 3 minute do to slim you down?" But i was not in any hurry as i have read that the faster you lose the weight, the faster it would come back in 2 folds. so i decided to be patient. As I've been patient, I saw how lazy I was, I even realized how inappropriate my eating habits was. I eat more of meat, sweets, take soda, and prefer not much veggies or fruits, I changed all those which I realized was wrong. Took more of those healthier ones like having fruits instead of donuts for afternoon snacks and tea/coffee/water instead of soda. Powdered juices are also made up of sugar that makes you fat too somehow like soda. I've just read that. haha anyways, what I did was change my lifestyle. It was pretty hard battling with inertia and all those temptations but if you really want it, don't rush it. learn it and then love it hahaha thanks for posting!

That's great and congratulations. I am trying my best to lose some weight too. I have this goal to lost 10 kilos and I am happy with the result. I am losing at least 1 kilo per day and I am feeling light as well. I am not used having a heavy weight as i am so think, but this age, getting older is giving me problem with my health. I am gaining too fast this later years. :p

uhm, just a change of lifestyle ckciasigurl. well, i tried a lot of those regimens you can find in the internet but they won't work until you force discipline in yourself hahaha... that's what i really was before. After all my workouts, I think that to reward myself for the hard work i did was to eat up what i want. in the end wasting all my effort haha

Well done, you should be proud of yourself that you have managed to lose this weight, because losing weight isn't easy to do at all. I have also been losing weight, and I have lost 89lbs now in the past 16 months. This is a lot of weight, and I now only have 16lbs to lose before I reach my goal, which I hope to be able to do within the next could of months. I am going to cut right back on my unhealthy food, and also start exercising every day which is something that I have not been able to do up until this point because I had been in full time education. I am looking forward to being able to make this change within my own life.

Congratulations! I have been losing weight lately because I keep forgetting to eat. I do so much at work that I'm not able to eat sometimes. It's not really healthy though so I have to try to eat something while I'm in between paperwork.

Congratulations for losing so much weight in such a short period. What were your diets and also what were the exercises you had undergone for the purpose? Are you ready to share them with us because I have gaining constantly day by day? In this context, I would like to advise you to consult with a doctor to see if the weight loss is the result of the measures you have taken so far to reduce obesity or is due to any disease. So one side I am very much pleased but at the sale time I am also worried about your health.
