Two days before a boy who was returning from Nanded to his house in vacation. He was stand on the gate and suddenly sleeps his legs on the stairs and both legs cut because his leg was beneath the train and he died on the spot because his half body was cut. Why the boys not understand to stand near the gate is not good.

Nope, the boys or kids are not allowed to stand in the door even in the buses etc.Because you may fall ,when the driver driving and also it is not safe. It is always to careful when you are inside and set there.

It is risky for sure, and not safe for every one,and if you know how to hold tight in the foundation in side i think you are okay as long as you are not in the bad area.

Do you mean the train was still driving and the doors were open? I only know trains who drive with closed doors. If the doors are not closed the train won't leave. So an accident like that can never happen. Besides of this.. I think this is an accident like accidents happen everywhere at moments we expect them the less. It has nothing to do with standing at a certain place an not being careful. As the trains just were invented there were no doors either, they drove years that way.

Our trains are not of that kind. There are doors but there is no sensor or anything. And at times, there won't be even space for standing. It would be crowded that much.

Obviously it is dangerous to stand by the door of a moving train, let alone fell asleep with your leg on the stairs. The incident can be easily avoided if the boy has an adult accompany him on train and prevent him from doing mindless act in the first place. It is always risky for a boy/girl to travel all by him/herself since most of them can't obey all the safety rules of a train and also they are lacking of commno sense an adult possess due to life experiences. You should only stand by the door when you decide to jump off the train after robbing someone in the train, or you are sure that the train is going to be on fire during your journey to your destination, so that you can make a quick escape from a moving inferno. Other than my stated scenario, you shouldn't stand by the door of a train, go find yourself a seat insdie the train and sit down. if you can't do that. please don't travel by train, use your feet to walk, it is better to be dafe than feel sorry for yourself later.

a pleasant day to you, it is indeed not advisable to stand near the door of the train, as this is very hazardous. however, despite of many campaigns and reminders, still, passengers choose to stay near the opening door. as a consequence, it causes a lot of troubles. just like you have mentioned.

It is very sad to hear of accidents like this which could have been easily avoided but some people especially youngsters don't even worry about loss of their life just to be adventurous. However, where I live these type of train accidents don't occur as the trains don't start to move unless the doors are closed automatically. It is a good measure to prevent people falling from the trains...

This is So sad, normally youngsters are much interested to travel by standing near train door steps and also sometimes they like to hang out of train while moving. They too know this is dangerous but they are doing just to show their friends about his own strength and also ability. So, What will happen some times it leads on bad result. Goverment needs to make more awareness about this issue among public. Then public also react on the person if somebody does stunts like hanging or standing near door.

I have lost my husband in a train accident. It seems the train was too crowded and he never got a chance to go inside the compartment. I would never recommend anyone standing near the door of the train because it is dangerous and if anything happens the whole family suffers for it.

Anything that is moving is something that I am scared to be too close too. This is the reason that I was scared of escalators when I was younger and it is also the reason that I want to be as far away from any doors as I can when I am taking any kind of public transportation. I feel really bad that this boy lost his life because of this accident, but I do think that it can be used as an example so that similar accidents don't happen again in the future.

me too use to do this. Know that its danger, but i stand carefully. Dont think, I will get sleep while standing. What to say, in hot condition, for getting some cool Air I prefer standing near the door.Specially in Janshadabthi train that runs in India, it will not allow air to come inside..so prefer standing near the door. But after reading this discussion, now i will be more watch full. And someone here talked about door closed while running, Sorry to say that Trains in India don't have sensor and door will not be always closed during running.

Gosh. that sure is a bad news. when we went to Hong Kong, there MTR is amazing so is the system. but i am still scared to stand close to the doors even though it seems safe. my boyfriend would stand close to the door but i always tell him not to. but he says he will be fine and that the trains and the subways and MTRs in New York are nothing compared to the ones we saw in Hong Kong hehehehe we were just amazed. but we should know better. either we think it is safe or not, we still need to be very careful. i hope the incident you just shared never happens again.

Omg! That sounded really dangerous and sad :( But don't trains have doors there? I mean the trains here have doors so the chances of falling down are less to nil. But they do tell us to not lean on the doors.

What do you mean standing at the gate of the train? It's a train not like light rail train. If it's light rail train, I guess it's door is always close. And there are warnings on top of the door not to lean on them because it has a sensor and might accidentally open while it's running. If it's the regular train, I guess it has doors too and outside the door are steps for boarding and alighting. It's too bad, I guess passengers should be careful in riding trains.

I do not understand how it happens. Trains here in our country leaves and moves with door closed, so there is no chance to slips with a door open, unless the door accidentally open while the train is still moving. However, I feel pity for the young guy and his family who really were shocked with this accident. I hope this will serve as a warning to other passengers especially youngsters who likes risky and adventures in life.
