I think computer is like car, we use them almost everyday, so somehow we must know at least the basic of their functionality... that way we don't have to call an expert every time we had some trouble, because if we do then it will certainly dry our pocket...

I am the same with the computer like I am with my car. Ijust put petrol in it and if it starts then that's fine. Otherwise I catch the bus as I have no idea about the mechanics of it

This is probably because the majority of users have very little idea of how to perform even basic tasks on a computer before they actually one, and rely totally on trial and error. As a result anyone with a reasonable understanding of computers will appear to be knowledgeable.
A person needs to acquire a driving licence prior to using a car, so all drivers will have a basic knowledge of how to operate one. If this same principle had been applied to a computer then the circumstances would be quite different.
I have often been asked the most basic of questions by people who have owned a computer for a couple of years. It often becomes apparent while trying to explain a simple procedure that the person has an extremely limited understanding of the fundamentals of the subject.

I started using a computer at home over 10 years ago. It was my son's at the time. Since then I have learnt a lot about how to use it but I understand nothing at all about how it functions. If I switch it on in the morning and it works, then that's fine. If it doesn't I have to call a friend or the computer doctor.
