yes ...he made to the century. but he is the GOD of cricket? he did not contribute towards the world cup title. yes , he was in the team. he has done what we love him for? he is getting paid for it. he failed as a captain of team but when he was in form he was the best. that does not make him the GOD.he is the brand ambassador for so many products and sign advertisement deals. he has a family who tours with him to all the places in the world ...like a normal family man...so what if he has got good nos of records....i personally do not agree with this title...i also respect Sachin for his achievement, but giving him this title is too much for him ...

I dont believe that sachin is a god. but i am sure that what he achieved is more that what a normal human or cricketer can achieve. to play cricket for 22 years and scoring this much of records and runs are beyond the limit of normal cricketer. So i personally thinks that giving a title of cricket god to sachin is not a wrong.

i may sound rude. However Sachin had/has nothing else in life. He is not educated enough to do a job. He failed miserably as a commentator a while back. If he played for 22 yrs... he has got paid heavily for it....cricket is game for performance...if you perform you are in else out....i also respect him for his achievements...but i strongly dispute the title...

He may get failed as a commentator. But when he retire from the cricket i am sure he will become coach of Indian team or any IPL team.

Hi Shweta!
You see Sachin is a source of inspiration for endless cricket lovers and players. When they see his achievements and unmatched records, they treat him like a God. Even Virender Shewag treat as a Cricketing God. It is a kind of giving respect to him like a God. He does not become a God even if many people say so.
However, he is a living legend and his performance and records could never be matched by any Cricket player in the near future.

hm, i agree he is the source of inspiration for many... however i dispute that shud make people to give him that respect which we have for our GOD...i dispute the title...yes i agree he is a living legend...but i am pretty sure his records wud be broken by one or another cricketer in the future. for that matter virender sehwag recently broke one of his records...by getting some 200 odd runs on board...thanks for ur view point

You see it is a personal thing, if anyone wants to 'treat' and respect Sachin as a God. Though he is one of the humblest and down to earth human being, yet his achievements are astounding and unparalleled, therefore, for many Cricket lovers, he is like a God to them.
I doubt if anyone could ever break his record for scoring 100 centuries in both format of Cricket.

He is just a human being...we assign Godly merits to people with caliber to attain phenomenal heights. The splendor they create is often hilarious. Giving Godly status to such people is delirious.

Hello Shweta,
He himself said yesterday that he is not a God. I felt he is a humble man all the time. His achievements are the result of his hard work and dedication. He is not responsible if anybody treat him like a God. At times his bad performance faced much criticism. Everybody forgets he is also a human being and up and downs are very common in anybody’s life.
I am not a person who love cricket. However I have much respect for him because he is a great human being.

If you see various innings of Sachin in the past this designation of god given to him by fans is not a surprise at all and he deserves it.However now he has become a puppet of BCCI , they use him to sell their cartoon cricket and attract audience by bragging his records. He has become a record machine from a run machine. He played a selfish knock yesterday which cost India the match.

Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar is one of the greatest cricket player of all time. I do not think him nor do his fans consider him as a God. He has a lot of endorsements because people look up to him as a role model. Soon all this hype will just die down. For more information about his accomplishments and life visit http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sachin_Tendulkar . His story might even inspire you.

i am not looking for inspirations. i adore sachin's performance however he is currently not in form and refuse to talk about retire. people have given him this title which i completely dispute.
he is a normal human being running after money.
he WAS a great player though... no doubt. fully agree to that.

Yes, he is a normal human being as we all. but his talent in cricket is much more than a normal player. that makes him the god of cricket. he really deserves that title.
