Today a friend from another part of the country is going to visit me. I look forward to seeing him, we don't meet that often because of the distanse and we always have a good time together. We are going to walk around in my town and a get a cup of coffee in a cafe and maybe something eat. Sometimes we drive around on my island or the neighbour island. We both like to get out of the house and visit different places, but sometimes we when we don't have much money we stay at home and talk or watch movies. What do you and your friends do when you are together? Do you prefer to meet at home or do you go out when you meet?

hi there, my friend's house is like our meeting place so we usually go there and just hang out. we don't really go out that much unless we really feel like it hehehe. when she left for the states, we don't get to see some of our friends too because we are also busy with our own lives but every time she comes home here, it is like our reunion we spend so much time together and we end up sleeping over her house again it's just nice to have real friends

That sounds great. It is very nice to have a reunion with friends after a long time and just hang out and talk a lot. I live on an island in the southern part of Denmark and most of my old friends live on the peninsula in the western part of the country. We can't meet as often as we did in the past, but when we meet we always have a very good time together and we can talk for hours. One of my friends came to my island yesterday and we went out for lunch and coffee, it was very nice to see him and we had a great time. I am going to visit and some of the my other old friends later this year and I look forward to that.

My best friend has got married two years ago, and moved to another city. We used to hang out together before she got married, but now if she comes home to my city, I usually come to her house to talk. Besides, she has a baby now, and I only have time to come for a visit in the evening after i finish working, so evening wind is not really good for her baby. :) However, we still have a great time.

It is great that to you still have the chance to meet your best friend, and that you have a good time together, that it the most important thing I think. My best friend and I don't live in the same part of the country anymore and we don't meet very often. She is married now and she has two small children so it is not easy for her to travel to my island. I have visited her in her village, but is not close to my home, so I can't visit her very often.

Wow...that is actually more reasonable for you for not meeting your best friend. I feel ashamed of not be able to visit my best friend very often to her city where she lives now. It actually only takes around two hours to get to her city but I never have the time to do it. And I prefer to spend my Sundays at home as it is also very rare that I stay home that day. :(

I just had a wonderful time with friends last night. We usually meet somewhere then would have dinner then hangout either over a cup of coffee or singing in a karaoke bar. Last night we had dinner at a buffet restaurant where we stuffed ourselves with Filipino cuisine. And since we were so stuffed, my friend suggested that we go to a park in order to walk so that our tummies can digest all that yummy food. It's been some years since I last visited the park we went to, which is called Quezon Circle here in the Philippines. There is a small amusement park now and a lot of activities than one can do, such as go-kart racing. My friends and I went go-kart racing and it was fun! It made us feel like kids again. After our go-kart racing and short walk around the park, we went to a karaoke bar. My friends and I grew up in the 80's and 90's and we know almost all of Whitney Houston's songs. So as a tribute, we lined up all of her songs for us to sing! After about ten of her songs, we decided to sing mellow songs because I can tell you that Whitney's songs are really tough to sing! My friends and I were all laughing whenever it came to a part where one had to really sing at the top of their voices. We parted at three in the morning. My friends and I see each other after a month or two since we all have jobs. But when we do see each other, it is always a blast!

I am happy to hear that you had a wonderful time with your friends. It sounds like a lot of fun. Buffet restaurants are nice, but the only problem is that I eat too much when I visit one of them, because there is so much delicious food I have never tried go-kart racing, but I can imagine that it is a lot of fun. There are no amusement parks on my island or on the neighbour island and that is a little sad. There used to be one, but it closed down several years ago. We have keraoke bars though. I haven't been to them for quite some time, but I still remember all the fun that my friends and I had there.

Its always nice to meet a friend whom you meet very rarely because there is so much to talk about and catch up with what you did after you met last.I am sure you and your friend will have a good time together and do the things that both of you like to do. Unfortunately, i hardly meet any friends nowadays because everybody is busy with their own life and family and besides i can`t go anywhere since i am permanantly on a wheelchair and have not been out of my house since the last 25 years.I am a prisoner in my own house.

Yes, it is very nice to meet a friend that we haven't seen for a long time. There is lots of talk about and the time passes very quickly. My friend and I had a very good time together when he visited me. We had lunch and coffee together and we talked a lot. It must a difficult situation to be unable to leave your home, I can only imagine what it is like, because I haven't tried it. In your situation the only option is visits from friends in your home. I remember that you had a reuninon with classmates in your home, but it is not easy to meet often if your friends are busy or if they live far away from your home.

I actually prefer meeting people out but home is fine too. Whenever we're lazy, we just gather in the house and watch dvds and munch some chips or something. Or sometimes go to the balcony and sleep in the warm sun :D That is basically what we do! And when we're out, we usually head towards the karaoke bar coz all of us love singing and we also go to the malls for window shopping sometimes.

Sleeping in the sun on the balcony sounds really nice. I wish I had a bacony Sometimes my friends and I meet at home, too and then we usually eat candy and watch lots of movies. I haven't had a movie night with friends for a while, maybe I should arrange one. When my friends and I go out we like to drink coffee in the coffeeshops or have lunch in a cheap restaurant. Sometimes we also go shopping or just go for a walk near the beach or the habour. We have no karaoke bars on my island or on the neighbour island, but I sometimes visit them when I go to one of the big cities.

I would prefer to go out to meet my friend at some places, especially in the restaurant. We like to eat and taste some great food, while we can talk about anything we want. Lately, I had done this less and less, since we all have our own life and work to do. I miss my friends, and I look forward to spend some time with them again.

Meeting friends in a restaurant is a great idea. I like to do that, too. That we can talk and enjoy a nice meal at the same time. My friends and I love international restaurants and when we meet we like visit a different restaurant each time so that we get the chance to eat food from different countries. Sometimes it is not easy to meet our friends as often as we want, because we are busy with work at and other activities. My friends and I experience that, too, because we have both work and voluntary work. When we are finally able to meet we always have a good time.

It is nice to meet friends and spend time with them, that gives us a chance to relax from work and so something different. I like meet my friends, we chat or do things together. We are not able to meet every week, because most of my old friends live in another part of the country (I also used to live there) When we finally meet it is very nice and I am always happy when we spend time together like my friend and I did last week when he visited me on my island. In May I am going to the part of the country where I used to live and then I will meet my friends again, I look forward to that.

Things are changing. Years ago my house was full of friends. My husband liked to have friends around him and they used to come and visit us even without asking. I was caring for our little daughter and I was always at home, meeting people. Then my husband passed away, I began to work and the old days were over. But the main reason is that the life became harder. Now more people struggle to survive and they don't have time to visit the old friends. The same applies to me. Some friends left the country. So to spend time with a friend becomes a special story. Have a nice time!

My friends are struggling to survive, too. Many of them have two jobs and they don't have much time to visit friends or enjoy their hobbies. Sometimes it is hard to find a day where we can meet, because we have to find a day where neither of us have to work and that isn't always easy. I used to work 7 days a week, too. At the moment I am less busy with work, but I still don't have the time to visit my friends as often as I want, because most of them live in another part of the country. When my friends and manage to meet like we did on Saturday it is always very enjoyable and it is nice to catch up and talk about the things that happened in our lives.

I prefer to go out and meet friends. Outing with friends sometimes give us a chance to visit new places that we do not enter before; therefore, we can gain more chances to try new things like food, games and etc. Staying at home is already boring for me, so if I still want my friend come to my house, I do not know what can we do.

When I have the money to go out I also prefer that. It is fun to visit new places together, and I love to drive around and visit some of the places where we haven't been before. One of my friends and I have known eachother for 14 years and during the time that we have been friends we have visited a lot of different places together and it has been a lot of fun to explore all those places together. Sometimes we stay in our local area and sometimes we visit other parts of the country. When we don't have money to go out we stay at home instead, and that is okay, but when I have the money I prefer to go out, because I love to visit new places.

You wrote about outings to most distinct parts of the world. Which places did you visit with your friends? My friends and I sometimes travel together and go camping together. Some time ago we visited Lolland, Faster and Moen in my country, it was a very nice trip and we visited some beautiful places on those islands.

Yes, it is great to hang out with friends. My friends and I sometimes to go the movies, but we often choose to watch movies at home instead, because it is cheaper to get a movie through a movie club or borrow movies at the library. Sometimes we visit the restaurants and the cafes in my area or their area, I like that a lot, but sometimes it is better to stay at home especially when we don't have much money.

My friend and I did that two days ago when when he came to visit me. We had a very good time. Bowling and shopping are fun, too. When we don't have much money we usually stay at home instead. We drink tea and coffee and watch movies or just talk for hours. I love to go out, but sometimes if we have spent too much money we have to stay at home instead.

I feel way better and comfortable to meet either gender of my friends outside, unless otherwise if we plan to stay out for the night watching horror movies over at my place, meeting outside requires $$ so it might need a careful consideration for me as to pick the place that both agrees into. I would usually meet in social places like the library, a snookers hall, or even restaurants.

That is true, it often costs money to meet outside the house for instanse if want to meet in a restaurant or a cafe, go to the movies, go to a concert, go to a bowling arcade etc. There are some options that don't cost money like a picnic in the park or a day at the beach, but a lot of things that I enjoy cost money. I really like to visit cafes and restaurants and I think it is great place to meet friends, because we can chat while we enjoy a nice meal. On the other hand if we don't have much money restaurants isn't a good choice and sometimes we meet at home instead and talk or watch movies all night.

Good day Porcospino, Whenever me and my bestfriend meets, we always set a meeting place. Most of the time, we make it on a coffee shop where we can chat a little before we proceed on the proper venue. Hence, we both love to take a coffee first especially if the time is in between of a breakfast and lunch.

A coffeshop is a great place to meet. I like to meet my friends there as well because we can chat and a enjoy a nice cup of coffee at the same time. Sometimes we drink coffee first and go to another place for lunch or dinner. I know every coffeeshop and restaurant on my island, because my island is relatively small, and today my friend and I visited two different places. I don't have the money to go out very often, so I enjoyed it a lot.

I so envy you. Upon reading your post, I miss my hanging out with my friends. I do have a friend who is working in another country and she's my closest friend. The others are in different islands in my country. Basically I do not have close friends in my present location. It is very lonely sometimes and I am looking forward to have a reunion with them and have fun like we used to. She's coming home this May and I hope it is final, so we can meet up and personally update ourselves with the changes life have brought us. We used to go out of town in s low budget outing nothing luxurious just plain enjoying the place and company of each other. I am hoping we could to it again. Because right now each of us, is busy with our own lives.

I understand what you mean because I don't really have any close friends on my own island. Most of my old friends live on the peninsula where I also lived for 6 years. The friend who visited me today also lives there, and I was really happy to see him again. He couldn't stay here that long because it takes him several hours to drive home, but it was still great to see him again. I hope that you will have a reunion with your friends in the future and get the chance to spend some time together.

Well prior to our financial constraints my friend, who thankfully lives here in Trinidad as well, and I would engage in a number of outdoor activties very similar to yours. Going to the movies,Have dinner,Go for for walks, Go for drives to far places that we've never been before. There's a particular spot in my country that we drive to and just enjoy watching the sun set. It's so beautiful. We did alot of sightseeing, going to the beaches but then his school and lack of money "got in the way" and my money started getting low to so we've had to cutback on our excursions. We use to meet at my house for a movie night, but again we can't because he lives some distance from me and he's got his school work to deal with. But yeah those are some of the things we use to do :) As for which one I prefer, it doesn't matter to me so long as I'm with my friend anyplace is fine with me.

Being with our friends is the most important thing, I agree with that. It is fun to go out and explore new places together, but it can also be nice to spend time at home and just talk. My friends and I do that when we don't have money to go out. I understand what you mean when you say that your lack of money and your friend's studies get in the way. Sometimes it not possible to meet as often as we would like or go out as often as we would like. I miss one of my old friends, we used spend a lot of time together, but she is busy with other things today and neither of us have a lot of money to spend on outdoor activities. Today another friend and I decided to have coffee and lunch in town, even though we don't have a lot money. I will have to spend less money the rest of month, but I think it was worth it and we had a nice day together.

Some friends like to go out and shop. Others would just like to stay at home, and talk the day away or like to do outdoor activities. We spend time with our friends depending on the personality or hobbies of our friends. Time spent with them is bonding time so I would like to do what they enjoy most so that they will have a fun time with me
