Even if India beat Pakistan, India will have to Depend on Srilanka Again......

The rules are again same as it was in Tri series in Australia.
Here the situation have just small difference,Here Srilanka should beat Bangladesh.
Indian Final chances..
If India beat Pakistan:
Then Bangladesh Should not win against Srilanka..So we have to depend on Srilanka.
Because if Bangladesh wins, then point for both India & Bangladesh will be equal and team who won face to face match will qualify for Final.This can be avoided only if India Win with bonus point against Pakistan.
If India Loss against Pakistan:
Then If Bangladesh wins, they will straightly qualify for final.
If Srilanka win that match, Then it will be very interesting, as All three India, Bangladesh,Srilanka will have same points and run rate will decide the finalist.
If Srilanka wins with bonus point, then they will qualify..
So still all teams have chance to enter Final..
Any way Indian Final chance is very much depending on how Srilanka plays..

I don't think India will enter finals.
Mostly they will lose against Pakistan. (Pakistan has good support in Bangladesh grounds.) Even if India wins, Sri Lanka will win Bangladesh with high margin with bonus point, ousting India out.
I don't know where India stands on the table, but that's just my work out.

surely if India loss to Pak and SL win with bonus point they are through to the final.
Pakistan are currently on top of the table and they are playing well, They have ensured their place for Final. Now from the rest of Three Asian team every one have the Chance..
If India wins tomorrows match with Bonus point, then We can almost make sure the Final birth, But beating Pakistan with Bonus point, for this team seems to be very difficult.

I dont think wining against pakistan will be easy, they are in tremendous form currently. In the previous match, srilankan innings was ended in 188 only. Ajmal is bowling really good.
Looking at the current situation it is very hard to say with confidence that india will reach final, especially when the batting in the beginning is so slow.

Ya Indian bowling was poor and not Up to the mark.
But Bangladesh played neatly, we have to give the credit to them.
And I think now the Bangladesh is not the old minnows, they are now more stronger team.
But India can beat any strong opposition and can surrender to any minnows, thats the nature of Indian team.

Well, I think bangladesh has won yesterday with the joint effort of india and themselves. It is hard to believe that indian bowlers were beaten so mercilessly by bangladeshi batsmen.
Don't know who is next to win against india, may be kenya or holland also!!

We have seen that India has done well in past when they get a pressure match like this one.This match is almost a knockout match.In match against Bangladesh ,India took them lightly and focus was on elusive record more than victory, but this attitude wont be there against Pakistan.There are many permutations and combinations,but if practically speaking, if India beats Pakistan then its almost certain that they will play finals,as its highly unlikely that Bangladesh will beat SL with bonus point or with big margin.

Hi venkit,
You can bet on India, They can make any situation tense and interesting. Whether it is world cup, triseries in Australia or gully cricket with some second rated team, they will make the situation so tense that their fans heave a sigh of relief when they reach the next round. Here also they found the way to loose to Bangladesh who must have not won a match against any major country since they whitewashed New Zealand at home more than an year back. In any case when you loose to team like Bangladesh your movement to next round is always doubtful and has to depend on performances of other teams. Here now they will have to beat Pakistan which is the best team in the tournament, from the performances seen so far, and wait for Sri Lanka to beat Bangladesh. If Bangladesh beats Sri Lanka then they deserve to be next round in preference to both India and Sri Lanka. May the best teams reach the final.

I think Bangladesh have played very well in this tournament, It may be the effect of BPL.
But getting into final with win or loss of some other team is not good for a champion team.
And these give Chance for bookies more.
Bookies use this situation and make the game of cricket unhealthy.

That is right, in the home they are having the advantage and support from the home crowd.It would be interesting to know how the play outside their nation.
I thin Bangladesh Premier League has bought tremendous change in player's mind and the team.They are now performing well as a unit..

You are right venkit, Bangladesh has played really well in this tournament. They almost beat powerful Pakistan team the other day. I wish they continue this way and play better outside their country. Their large supporter base deserve that. Hope no bookies interfere this time around and force Pakistan to give the match away to India.

hello. yes i think india will qualify for the final... because sachin's 100th hundred pressure is out.. during the batting power play run rate was slow... so india lost because 289 was not enough.. if india win it is good..

i think srilanka wud beat bangladesh as they have not won any match in the current series. SL are a determined lot. unfortunately have not got any win under their belt. they wud for sure try to ensure atleast one win ...so then whn bangladesh looses...its india in the final...

tahts bad for india. worse for srilanka...they lost all the matches...thats disgrace for them. bangladesh won the match....proved my preception and belief for srilanka wrong...anyways...bangladesh has gradually become a very gud team and i really like crowd supporting bangladesh. even PM was their to support the team. thats calls for a win for sure for bangladesh....gud going bangladesh. i have even noticed that all teams are king in their own territory. England won against india 5-0 in england, india won against england 5-0 in india, australia won against india in australia, bangladesh won against SL, india in bangladesh....:) happy cricketing and myloting

Yes, the competition is still wide open for all teams.
Even Pakistan is not entered into the final.

The other cases are right as you mentioned, Even if India wins today, there is no surety that India will play the final and Even if India fails to win today's match, then also India have the chance.
India need to look on the result of Sri Lanka vs Bangladesh match result.
The series is getting really interesting and tight........

wow, that is an excellent work and thought, But don't think that will happen.
As Pakistan is playing, I think we will find it difficult even beat them, so India winning with bonus point is optimistic.
And similar is Bangladesh winning with bonus point against Srilanka.
Bangladesh is not such a strong team and Lankans are not hat bad..
So its rare probability, and in cricket we cant make predictions till the last ball is bowled.

i really doubt that india will qualify for the finals,after watching the dismal bowling performance against bangladesh.Pakistan has a much better batting line up.It will be awesome if bangladesh wins and enter the final and they go on to win the asia cup as well!!

I have never felt that Indian batting line up is poor in any case.Just we don't have a good bowling attack.Pakistan is playing well in this tournament have the high chance to win.
And Bangladesh is performing beyond everyone's expectation.So India have to work hard to reach the Final.
