I am going to buy a new laptop with intel i5. This are the options available here in my area. Suggest me which company is better trustworthy (durability and service). Mention if you had any bad experience with above company. Would also love to hear the positive reviews. Thank you

Actually all of my friend who were using lenovo have faced some issue with the laptop within one year from buying. I am using dell and am happy with the performance so far. The only problem I have faced so far is overheating which happened due to dust accumulation in the vent for air exhaust. Another friend of mine is using acer and his laptop is working fine till date. But I have no idea about asus. But one thing, the most common laptop now a days peoples are using is lenovo.

you are the only negative review i got for lenovo and yes dell is a tough competitor to lenovo. No negative reviews to dell. I am confused between dell and lenovo.

Ya i have heard a lot of dell's onsite service and about its complete warranty. They replace the whole system if they have to without any hesitation. Thats great about Dell. But i have not heard any negative about lenovo yet so cant say anything about it. Anyway, thanks phoenix for the response

Yeah it's true, they have faced different problems like poor battery performance, hard disk problem, laptop slowing down, malfunctioning dvdrw etc. But sometimes it happens that a particular batch comes defective in the market. I can't say with confidence that all the laptop of lenovo are defective. I have just shared the experience, I have. With Dell I can say you one thing, if you are from India, that is their after sell service. You need not to find any service center in case of any problem. All you have to do is dial their number, lodge a complaint and their technician will reach you even if you stay in a remote village. Another thing is their accidental breakage warranty which means if your laptop breaks accidentally within your warranty period they will replace it with a new one. Any parts get defected ( except battery and usb port) within warranty period, they will replace it for free.

I have a lenovo, it's one year old, but I use it a lot - it works perfectly, never had any problem with it. I don't have experience with the others.

Those are all good I guess, but the most common that I heard is lenovo. Well, maybe some of my friends are lenovo users that is why, I seldom hear the other 3 brands. On the other hand, I am with hp and its my 3 years already and have never encounter problems with this yet, except when it eats a strong virus that causes the loss of my important files. Anyway, it has been reformatted and files were replaced and renewed. :-) Soon will be changing too, and I guess I'll take lenovo. Anyway, we can still hear other users/experts point and learn from them.

Good to hear about hp but its out of budget in my area with the same configuration so i cant go for that. I will consider this as a positive review for lenovo. lets see what others say. Thank for replying maharlikah

I think you should narrow down your choices between dell and lenovo. My laptop at work is Asus i5 and it s*cks! always hangs, I dont know if its the laptops fault or too much applications. Anyway, dell and lenovo are better.

Ya you are right i think. I am also thinking among those two..dell and lenovo but asus and acer are more cheaper here so it will be good to save some money if they are trustworthy

Better choose quality than price. You may get a laptop at a cheaper price, but eventually give you a headache because of poor performance. But if you do not plan to install too much applications on your unit, then ACER and ASUS would be ok.

I would suggest acer. Because among all of the brands you've mention, acer have more popularity. Besides, it really has a good quality.

In my area acer is not so popular. It is the least popular of all the one i mentioned here. But it is the cheapest of all and about quality, i got some negative reviews too

I have had a Dell laptop for about a year and a half. My two nephews, who are heavily into computers, using, teaching and repairing, etc. both recommended Dell. I have had no trouble with the computer.

probably lenovo is a godo brand normally their pc are durable in time but i found them suitable much more for professional needs than consumer ones.in reality even dell or asus for private use cna be ok...in many cases depends on the different models..

Hello I think that the brand Lenovo is pretty and well known. In the last years they put a lot of effort to satisfy their customers in all aspects as the all brand of laptops make it - but in lenovo it seems to be main aim. Take a look at this model and consider about it I do not have imagination about the price of this model but it is very cute for women: http://expertscolumn.com/content/lenovo-ideapad-z580-review-laptop Have a nice day!

Dell is the best company its service is very good and fast also. IF any parts are damaged with guarantee period then immediately they send new part with courier. My husband always like Dell company and me also.

I have been using Asus for almost 4 years now and running smoothly without overheating or hardware failure. With 8-12 hours per day usage I could suggest that Asus was a good choice for a laptop. They have also global warranty and good service support.

I brought acer aspire 4741z 2years ago, I used it for an year, which now my brothers uses it. It is good and only problem it has now is it's battery gives only 10-15 minutes back up, when I purchased it gave me 2hrs backup. That problem can be faced in any brand laptop ...

I have had the experience of owning each of these brands. I like all of them and I cannot tell you which one is best for you. Before you buy a computer, you should think about what you would like to use it for. When you have decided what use it will be for you, then you check the specifications of each computer.
