I haven't heard of this, but I think it's possible, too. I'd be puzzled if a black cat gave birth to a white puppy.

Actually, it is of the same chance that the black kitten gave birth to white kittens. Genetics are pretty similar across species and can be charted by a Punnett Square as well. And there are cases of black parents giving birth to white children (legitimately and not through extramarital affairs). In fact, I remember reading about twins, one with black skin and one with white skin, in Biology. While it isn't too common, things like this happen.

It's great to know that this could happen. Although, it's pretty weird, don't you think? I mean, the husband would most likely suspect the wife of sleeping with another guy if something like this occurred.

that is true, there are some cases that a white cat gave birth with a black kitten. I had a white cat then whe she gave birth she had 2 pure white kitten and 1 pure black kitten. Very cute and some kinda lucky charm that black kitten to my family. It's true.

Well.. I do not really know much about this scenario. 
But as you said, I would also be astonished to find such things happening.

True, but I think if there had been more than one dad cat the colors would be all different also as I have had cats who had kittens of different colors. One cat I had who was tiger striped and white, had a few black kittens for example and other colors.
