I feel depressed all the time since last September. It should be the last school year for me according to the academic calendar and I should be graduate from the college in this March. But i can not make it. Now my papers are still not published, my essay is still not ready for the last review and I still not get a job for my future life. Looking back the years, I spend in the college. It is really my own problem to make things so bad, I spent a lot of time on the Internet for meaningless things, and left a lot of work undone. Now if I do not think about it, things will be much better. But when comes to the things i should be, i really feel depression. I can not send out to do them. Should I go to see a doctor? Will i be ok after the period?

Its not too late for you, you can still make things right especially since you already admit you are on the wrong. Fix it

Just make a list of your priorities and do work on them accordingly. Everything will sort out itself.

To be honest I don't really know your case. I'd need more details to give an objective opinion. But I can however tell you my case if it helps in any way. I study architecture, 6 whole years. And it's not easy at all. After the first 3 of intense work I just couldn't handle it anymore. I was overworked. I didn't get enough sleep.. I didn't even have time to loose on the Internet, but what's worse is I didn't have time for my friends and family and especially for myself. I was a mess. I froze a year. I got a job and didn't go to college for that whole year. After that year of getting my head together I successfully got over another 3 years, keeping my job in parallel too. I don't know how things would be if I didn't have that break. I surely would have been exhausted and surely couldn't have handled a job because I was afraid I wouldn't have enough time and energy for it in the first place. Some time to think and reorder is always welcome. You might want to see a doctor anyway. Or maybe talk to a good friend about it. I did. If you just crawl ahead you'll never get rid of your problem.. it might come back to bite you sooner or later. You need to set things in order. And don't worry. Things are always gonna be fine if you are fine. So you need to turn to yourself and take care of yourself, clear your head, then march ahead.

If you know what make you feel depressed, then do something about it. Whatever passed is past, don't feel sorry and do nothing. Only when you are seriously taking up measures to right what you feel is wrong, then you will feel that you are in charge of yourself. The truth is that it is only you that can get you out of this depression of yours. Be determined. From what your writing shows, you are a bright and decent person. You can do it. You can make it. Believe in your yourself.

It sounds like you may be experiencing a touch of what they call reactive depression, which is actually quite common...and very temporary. However, we can just give you our thoughts...but you may need to go and speak to a psychologist/social worker or occupational therapist at your college. They usually have these professionals available that have spent many years specializing in behavioral complications or problems (often temporary glitches). All part of healthy development. This is just a phase but how you deal with this phase will play a huge role in how your future unfold for you. Going to a doctor is not recommended in this case as doctors do not study the mind, they study illnesses. You are sick, just floundering. However, a psychologist (not a psychiatrist, who is a medical doctor and will probably just medicate you)....really and truly specializes in The Mind (a minimum of 6 years upwards...)- and will be able to help you construct a more productive model in your life. Helping you be more productive etc... Once balance is restored, those feelings will more likely than not, pass through and out of you.

Ignore the internet use some of the time hanging out to talk with your friends and family and use the remainder of the time working on your work.
