Should We Expect Real Madrid vs Barcelona UCL Final?

Many believe that the best football teams in the world are Real Madrid and Barcelona and both are from Spain. Both teams are through to the quarter-finals stage on the on-going UCL and many feel other teams may not be able to challenge these Spanish giants to reach the final.
For me, I feel any of the eight teams left in the competition is a potential finalist. One learns a lot never to write off any team for none of the teams relied only on good luck to make it thus far. What do you think?

Do you really believe that APOEL Nicosia could potentially reach the final as one of the 8 teams left in the competition, especially after they are drawn against Real Madrid in the quarter final? I doubt just how many people in this world would really feel that way. I do hope that they could surprise us again but it is really highly unlikely. I think even the APOEL players themselves too will not think much about the final but just take the Real Madrid matches as an experience and just enjoy their football. Let's hope we would be able to see a miracle again.
A Real Madrid and Barcelona final is perhaps the most popular assumption today. But I hope Chelsea will win the UCL. They are playing better and are at par in quality with The Spanish, German and Italian teams. It will be a miracle for Di Matteo too if he could win the UCL for Chelsea considering the circumstances under which he was appointed to be the caretaker manager until the end of the season. What about a Chelsea vs Real Madrid final?

Not many persons would have thought that Zambia could win Africa Cup of Nations. In the same way, many never gave Uruguay a chance to lift the Copa America trophy where we have the South American giants of Brazil and Argentina!
It is realistic, at least, to consider both Bayern Munich (finalist in 2011) and AC Milan that are past holders of the trophy as potential threat to both Real Madrid and Barcelona. What makes them more of a threat is because many do not think they can upset the two Spanish giants.

Zambia and Uruguay although outsiders in the competitions they were in, they did have the players not that far off in qualities. As for APOEL NICOSIA, well, they ARE really not in the same league as the other 7 teams. So if they could really produce another upset, even if it is just their home match against Real Madrid, winning 1-0, the shock value is surely stronger than what Zambia and Uruguay could ever generate. However it is likely that they will still lose the return leg in Madrid 11-0. I really hope we could see that to happen.
Any two of the other 7 teams to go to the final is not that surprising as they are all capable of and having the players needed to do it. Somehow I have a feeling that we will not see an all Spanish final.

It is very likely to happen. Real Madrid will play against relatively easy opponent. Barcelona need to beat Milan wich will be difficult but we know how the Catalans play. If Barca eliminated Milan they will play against Benfica or Chelsea and I think that Barcelona is better than these two teams. If Real continues they will play against Bayern Munchen or Marseille and we know that the final will be in Munchen so Bayern will do everything possible to play at the Final.

We should not forget that Manchester United was in a group where most analyst expected them to qualify for the knock out stage with less difficult. Manchester United never qualified! How do we know "relatively easy opponents"? No one expected Arsenal FC to even make it to the knock out stage, the team nearly made it to the quarter final stage. I think whether Real Madrid and Barcelona will likely meet in the final will be clearer by the teams that will qualify for the semi-final stage.

In my opinion both Bayern Munich and AC Milan who have lifted the trophy many times in the past are not really dark horses; they are serious contenders for the coveted prize! We should equally remember that Manchester United FC did not even made it to the knock out stage of this season's UCL competition! Any team can shock any "favorite to win" team.
