India beat Pakistan by 6 wickets, Kohli-183, India's Highest Run chase-330

Congratulations India on a superb win. A win against Pakistan is always special and today it is all the more special because it has brought India nearer to finals birth of Asia cup. This win must have erased part of agony we all suffered due to loss to Bangladesh the other day. What a superb batting display by Kohli, Tendulkar and Rohit, that was a champion stuff and that is what made them world champs. After loosing Gambhir on the second ball of the innings, Sachin and Virat fought back brilliantly to get India back in the game. Sachin was more aggressive of the two and was in great touch but unfortunately fell caught behind to a superb "doosra from Saeed Ajmal and it looked India is not going to make it but the superb partnership from Virat and Rohit not only got India back to the game but got them close to the victory but both fell short of finish line. India will now have to wait and see the result of the next match between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh as they did in Triseries in Australia. Let us we would be lucky this time to see Sri Lanka beat Bangladesh comfortably.

thanks for this quick summary for people who cud nt see the match. virat actually carried foraward his innings from last match. i persoanlly feel srilanka wud beat bangladesh as they have not won any match...atleast for their own pride they wud pull up their socks and ensure they win the match against bangladesh...so i feel we wud see india in the final...

Hi ramaswami, This is indeed a good news hat India thrashed Pakistan in style but the loss to Bangladesh the other day was something that has not been digested yet. Congratulation to Kohli for his carrier best knock. And Sachin for his half century but the bowling department has always been a worry for India. Is not there a way out to over come this lacuna? Or what is the Bowling coach doing/

Definitely it is a great win . On the starting itself, Indian lost their first wicket. But, Kohli made a base partnership with Sachin and then with Rohit Sharma. It was just a mind blowing innings from Virat Kohli. He is on fire in this tournament so far .

Oh god! what a match it was. India truly have played an outstanding match today. Kohli was too good. The indian bowlers have done a poor job as usual but watching both the innings it can be said that there was not much for the bowlers in the wicket. To be honest I never thought that india will win the match. Both the pakistani opener have done their job. They had created such a platform from where 350+ was easily achievable. But rest of the batsmen had failed to continue the show. But still considering the bowling line up of pakistan I was doubtful of india's victory. Till date pakistan has won all their matches in this series only for their outstanding bowling but today the story is different. Kohli had played a sensible and responsible as well as aggressive innings. His batting was just too good. Looking like he is in a tremendous form. With this victory India has almost reached the final ( if bangladesh do not perform miraculously against srilanka). So they will face pakistan again in final and this time pakistan will surely seek a revenge. I think that is gonna be another nail biting match.

Ya this was another superb innings from Virat kohli. he just paced the innings beautifully. Sachin and virat put up a good partnership at the start,Sachin made a valuable half century. Virat just carried awy his innings almost till the end. This is his highest score in ODI. This is the highest score by any player against Pakistan. This is the highest score in Asia cup. And he is the youngest to score 10+ centuries in ODI. Fantastic going by the vice captain. But now India have to wait for the result of next match. If Bangladesh didn't win, then India can play Pakistan in the final.

Hi :) Surely India's bowling performance was bad today.. But after seeing the whole match I am really confused on it that if we can blame the bowlers.. I mean Pakistan always having good bowlers still they don't able to stop us, so I guess its all about batting pitch today... But yes Virat played an excellent inning today. I am quite surprised that he hit 3 hundreds (and in one inning 64 runs) from his last 4 ODI.. He is having great form right now. I hope he will able to perform same in future for team Indian.. Sachin and Rohit give played handy innings too.

hello. yes superb performance by indian batsmen.. they have this target very easy.. it was very bad when gambhir got out LBW.. but sachin and kohli took the innings away from pakisthan.. sachin played a crucial knock of scoring 52. but he got out. no problem. he has done his job for the team. about virat kohli's performance was expected. as he was in terrific form.. he has got now his career best.. rohit sharma has also played his part. these two partnership took pakisthan's game away from them. dhoni and raina finished things for india.. then also we are sad about india because of poor bowling attack.. all bowlers should improve.. then if this happens,there will be no team that could beat india. by the way very good discussion!!
