How I love "stumbling" across things like this whenever I'm bored. The video shows a cat that thinks it's a dog and it's sooo adorable I just had to post the link to it here. http://www.dump.com/2012/03/10/cat-thinks-its-a-dog-video/ If you're going to work on Monday, hopefully, this will cheer you up before you go!

I've seen retrieving cats and my sister and I once ran Cat up and down the stairs until she stopped and panted, I suspect that's what we had, a cat who had been retrieving so much he was panting...

Personally, I've never witnessed this in any of my cats I've had over the years but one of them did stick her tongue out quite a lot. Honestly, it was priceless!

I've never had one either, tho my brother did, Allie retrieved golf tees - my mother would throw them for her. I also gave a kitten to a friend and Leela would retrieve wadded up bits of paper, at least half way anyway...

We may buy Flojo some ping pong balls as two of Mum's cats that are no longer with us LOVED them. Mind you, it would be on carpet, not on flooring so I dunno. She seems to like really cheap things, not stuff from pet shops. Any ideas? Oh, and she hates catnip!

My parents have a cat who will fetch like that. She has a spider made out of pipecleaners, and will spend hours retrieving it. Her favorite is when you stand in the downstairs hall and throw it up the stairs. If you stop throwing it, she´ll come and stand on you, whereever you are, and thrust the spider in your face!

I think they´re so much more fun too when there is more than one of them. Watching them interact is great.

Haha! I love it. Cats have brilliant personalities, in my opinion. Yes, they sleep a lot but when they're awake they can be really entertaining..better than watching TV lol.

I think that is so funny. I like that video. Some cats actually do that. But this cat was really good at it. And the video was crystal clear and done very well.

Yes, I thought it was a well-made video as well. Such a cute cat and reminds us all how different their personalities are.

That is so correct. Every animal has his or her own personalities.

How cute it is! It amazes me to see that the cat time after time cames out of the room ,then comes in with something in its mouth like a dog.How did the cat owners train it?

Well, usually cats are virtually impossible to train. They're not stupid like dogs lol. It is unusual seeing a cat behave in this way so maybe it does think it's a dog after all!

I don't think the cat thinks he's a dog. I think the cat has either something wrong with his jaw or has a breathing problem.

Well, if you notice the fan is on so I reckon it must be really hot in the room. I must admit though, I've never seen a cat pant like that before.

Oh wow! I wish I could train my cat to fetch. This discussion reminds me of one of my kittens who thought it was a rabbit. I adopted a kitten and I also had a young rabbit, which became it's playmate. They would usually run around, inside the house. Now, whenever I fed our rabbit fresh "Kangkong", the kitten would watch it at first and starts munching some as well. It's really funny because she doesn't even eat those. She would just chew on them, mimicking the rabbit.

Hi! I love watching cats of all ages play. Mum's cats are 9 and 8 and the 9 year old plays more now than she ever did when she was younger. Mind you, she's slimmed down after Mum banned tuna from their diets. The pair of them are like new cats!!
