Little fears

I ended up taking a nap just before it started to get dark, and when I woke up it was dark out. I was laying just under the window, and since it was pitch-black out, I couldn't see anything, and suddenly I thought, "What if something is lurking out there staring in at me?" And that is when I realized I have some really weird little fears. Dark windows, passing by mirrors at night (huge one in my room freaks me out always), the sliver of light through the cracks of doorways ... haha, they're silly, and those are just a few of them. Any of you have any weird fears, bizarre paranoias?

You shouldn’t let your mind think of such things in the middle of the night. Personally I don’t fear the night as you do. I love watching horrors in the middle of the night and even going for a stroll thereafter. I think I love the thrill.

Oh, I definitely love scary things, too! I'm not even that afraid of the night. I really just have problems dealing with dark windows. My mind always wanders and thinks about how something could be out there staring in at me, which is pretty creepy if you think about it long enough.

I'm little scared of dark but not always. Sometimes I just walk out not caring if it's dark or not but sometimes it runs through my nerves and I run to light!!! Once I was studying late night upstairs and all were asleep downstairs,, suddenly I became conscious of the fan and its sound in the other room!!! It was switched on(yeah, my mom did) but the noise it made was really weird. My mind went blank, I couldn't study. I went down and slept.

Ahaha, same here! The dark doesn't really tend to scare me, but on the few occasions it does, I have to bolt for a lightswitch or a bright area. It's amazing how some of the most harmless things can bring about a sense of fear in us.

I made a discussion a year ago regarding this and it's the mirror that really creeps me out. So when i turn off the lights or go to the bathroom, no looking at the mirror for me.

It seems mirrors are kind of a universal scary thing for some reason. I wonder why that is? It's not like I've ever had any reason to be afraid of them, but the thought of something happening in a mirror's reflection ... ugh, creepy.

I wonder why you don't take away that bi mirror if it scares you. I like the dark don't care if someone is lurking outside or not. Which will be very hard. My backdoor is mostly open, I only close it at night. I don't have weird dreams although big chance that the dreams I like scare you too.

I think a lot of us have these small fears.Just like you, I have a large mirror in my house and whenever I wake up at night and go past it, I get scared of it. I should be used to it by now but I'm not. The fear is just sort of instantaneous and then subsides after I tell myself it is just a mirror and try to calm myself...

Hehe, but there's always a creeping fear when passing the mirror like, what if something moves in there that shouldn't? Sometimes it takes me a while to convince myself that nothing's gonna be lurking in there.

LOL, everyone does. I think I'm scared of lots of things, including the things you've listed up there. I'm creeped out about dolls and puppets and stuffs, but I love my stuffed animals and am not creeped out by Barbie dolls. Maybe it's because I used to always play with them when I was little and I've bonded with the popular Brand, lol. I'm also scared of supernatural stuff and yeah. Not to mention someone kidnapping me when I'm walking alone in the dark or something (which I rarely am). But I guess that's normal. I really hate it when I wake up in the middle of the night and have to go pee. I think "should I go risk it to pee?" and 10 minutes later, I can't sleep or hold it any longer, and go and run back to my bed as if my life depended on it. It's okay though, all the Facebook likes say that they do the same thing, so thank God that I'm not the only one :D

Everyone has fears either rational or irrational. I have a fear of small closed in places and I also have no mirrors or clocks in my house. I have no idea why I am afraid of these, but I am.

I really scare the darkness too. When i stay in my hometown, I scare and and don't want to go to a small garden in font of my parent's house at night also. Even i don't want but in my mind still has a thought that... may there is a ghost in the darkness out there.

I have those fears too, I can't sleep well in a room without curtain or window blind... I have small mirrors, but a lot of people have superstitions related to them. There are some "dark spaces" in the house that make me afraid of getting out of the bed in the middle of the night thinking that something might be there, like behind the doors. They are weird lol
