hahahaha... my mother always hated me for reading from night til dawn so now i will shift to other hubbies. not really a hobby.
currently i am writing my second book and hope that i will finish it by the end of April. all the nights of preparation, the never ending reading, now it has come to this point. this book is indeed mostly compose of text. so no pictures this time. i just hope i will have that publish.
i worry about my mother she hates the thought that i always sleep late. now i don't know if she will hate me again for being late again. i just hope that i won't driver her to the edge.

Maybe you should have a conversation with your mother and tell her that it is something important for you that you are doing and that it is very productive also. Just explain it to her and I'm sure hse will be more supportive of it in the future. Good luck with the publishing of your book and I hope your hard work and motivation in writing this book pays off...

i have the book on line now... i have few reads given that i only publish 2 chapters... but the other chapters will be publish next week... we are having a Lenten season right now so i don't feel like publishing a new chapter. my mother well she's really not a reader so she's not that supportive with what i write but my aunt is the one who always ask about the update of my book... i wish i can complete it by April though...
it's at wattpad... and it's still an ongoing series... hope you can drop by and tell me what you think... "The Princess' Secret" is the story that i wrote.

I think it's one thing sleeping late because of something that is unproductive and another when you're doing it to earn money. For the latter, it's okay because you know that there's a reward after the effort, on the other hand, sleeping late for nothing (well, for relaxation) will take it's toll on your body for no reason at all.
I think you should show your mom why you are sleeping late, show her that what you're actually doing is something that would benefit you (and her?).
Have a great MyLot experience and good luck with the book!

I know how you feel, our mom would also complain about us not going to bed the 'normal' hours, most especially my brothers because they are 'nocturnal' as well. Anyhow, soon she will stop and just grow tired of worrying about you. Just show her that you're healthy still - regardless the sleeping pattern.
You take good care of your health! Enjoy MyLot!

that's the thing i am nocturnal so if productivity wise it's really wiser to write during the night it's peaceful too... and the coolness of the night helps me to relax and stimulate me to write something... but dear mother can't understand that part for i know she is just very concerned with my sleeping patterns... which is obviously different from them... really sometime i think that i am vampire, i love sleeping during the day but love to play around during the night...

I think that it is great, this thing you are doing. I have been wanting so much to write a long time ago but never really gotten into it for so many reasons, indolence is on top of that.
Anyway, I hope your mom becomes supportive of this rather than feel against it, because I think it would have a much better effect on you and your work. Good luck on this second book. I hope you become very successful.

my mother is not that supportive with it, she's not a reader. i and my aunt are the only reader in the family top it all... i am the only one who writes. so i am different from the rest of the flock and it feels weird sometimes.
thanks for dropping by anyways. sorry to be late. i was busy with the book.

i think that you could start publishing it at wattpad... people can follow you... the readers read, vote and can comment your work... well you can have fans too... there are other writers that really write in real life...

There are times when writing and especially a book when thoughts will come to you and you just have to write them down. Be it during the day or late at night. You should sit down with your mother and explain to her how important this is to you and how your best time to write is late at night. Writing and being lucky enough to get published is a very good thing and can be very lucrative financially. You mentioned that you have wrote two books. Did you get the first one published and if so who is your publisher? I have searched numerous sites and every one I have come across will not even look at freelance material without an agent although I have heard there are others who will. If you know of someone who will look at your work without having an agent would you please let me know as I too have some works in progress. Good luck with yours as well.

well the first book is an ebook and it's more of photographs than words... it's more of telling a story through Photographs... i think the site where i post it has already close... due to financial problems... most of the people who join the project are photographers...
the second book is publish at wattpad... currently i only publish 2 chapters... "The Princess' Secret" next chapters will be publish i hope next week... well we are currently on Lenten season right now and i just don't feel right to publish the chapters during this week...
all i can say is that if you want to gain popularity in writing world may be you will try wattpad first... it's a community of writers and readers... people will have the power to vote you(meaning people love the chapter) and you will know how many people read your story... some of the writers has books available at amazon(dot)com too. so may be you will check it out yourself... before i just read some stories at wattpad but then when i join the community people like saying why not write something...
at first i don't really feel good at writing fictions... i am a freaking journalist for crying out loud but really the community just trigger your writing powers... people are nice too... the comment...

Good luck to your book. I hope it will be published soon?
What genre is it? And can you tell us what plot or what
it is about. I love reading too and like you, I spend
a lot of late nights just to read books. And like you,
I have also written a novel. Though I don't plan it to
be published.

well the book is out... it's an ongoing series meaning i am still at chapter two... it's now available at wattpad... "The Princess' Secret" is a romance fiction... so the title speaks for itself... really it's about the Princess' biggest secret...
"She is powerful, she is intelligent, she has elegance, and very body knows her... Who she is, it's not a secret, but what she look like is a secret. So the princess' biggest secret is not a secret it's written all over her face... So really what is the Princess' secret? May be you think like Lord Fredrik."
i you want to read it you can check it out at wattpad(dot)com and i hope that i can hear a feed back form you.
if you want to write something i guess wattpad is a good place to start... some of the writers there has books available at amazon(dot)com so really it's a wonderful community for writers and readers... hope you will be a member too... i want to read the stories you have wrote...

wow, it seems that you have all the time in the world to pursue what you want. keep on writing. it sounds like you have the motivation and drive to be a writer. show to the world that you can do it and that you have a good story to tell. i envy you. do not worry about your mother. she will understand definitely. and she will support you in the end.

nope! your wrong! i don't have the time... currently i am switching from doing an accounting to editing my story and answering this comments. it's just that i have what they call time management and can multitask. you have no idea what i am going through just for a day. well even taking a meal is an option... right now i forgot to eat my lunch again. i need to balance research for the book, the editing, pictorial, job, special effects editing, movie editing, cleaning the house, and eating.

Well, I think you should have a talk with your mom. Tell her that it is necessary for you to sleep late as you are doing something fruitful. To make her happy you could compromise by setting a curfew time. Maybe you could work up to 11 or 12 o' clock? Don't abuse your body by working til dawn as sleep is very important to rebuild damage cells.

When you successfully publish your book and start making millions your mom will be very happy for you. However one thing she will never do is stop worrying about you and your health.
