Natural diet and regular exercise is the best way to lose weight. Taking any kind of medicine is not advisable because in most cases they are not just ineffective but oftentimes they have harmful side effects. Going natural is always the best. Always be active. Sitting all day is not good. It is better to move, exercise and shed those extra pounds.

Any attempt at loosing weight has to be balanced. One needs the right nutrition in the right quantities and the right exercise. Any one of these alone is not going to work and may be downright harmful.
My suggestion for people who want to loose weight is to divide their meals into six sessions, each small and nutritious, balanced in both proteins and carbohydrates. Walk or engage in moderate exercise till the heart beat rate comes to about 100 BPM and maintain it for at least 45 minutes. This is to be done with a warm-up and cool-down exercise.
The weight fall will be slow at first, but as days go by there will be a faster fall in body weight. As a bonus, on will have the glow of health and an extremely resistant body to infectious decease.
This works on the mind also giving a very positive outlook and blocks out negative feelings like anger.
The so-called wonder products do provide a nutritious meal, but have no way of controlling the burn off of excess calories stored as fat. This can be harmful in the long run.

Forget diets!! To get to and maintain a healthy weight you need to have a lifestyle that sees you eating less and exercising more.
You must be able to continue to do this all your life; sounds daunting, I know, but once you figure out where you are going and how to get there it's relatively simple. I started by walking daily. I was getting lots of interruptions to my schedule so I just got away from the computer and began to do more housework. This meant I was also not constantly at the computer and eating nuts. I was quite busy. The plan was working without me even trying very hard. I got some new interests and a new hobby and I was eating even less. What's more, I was eating chocolate and (light) ice cream. I'm also cooking less, shopping less, and saving more money. I have lost 12 kilos and my depression is lifting. I still have a long way to go but what I'm doing is not difficult or guilt ridden or stressful and I'm feeling great about everything. I'm eating about a tenth of what I was eating previously, just by being busy and interested in other things.

I suggest that you go for natural diet first. You can cut down on sugar and carbs first. After giving birth to my 3rd child, i gained so much weight. so i decided to lose some weight. I stopped drinking carbonated drinks like coke, pepsi and other RTDs. I lessen my carb intake, eat more veggies and fruits. after a year, i lost 25 pounds already.

I just count calories & increased my exercise. I've lost about 6 pounds in the past month & 1/2 or so! I've done slimfast & even some weight-loss woman's vitamin before but that never helped... I think it might depend on the person, too. Because everyone is different....

There are lots of ways you can do it with diet... you could cut out all meats, and just become a vegetarian, or you could cut out all carbs and eat more meat, and either of those can help in loosing weight... but when it comes down to what you eat, it can really be anything, as long as your calories are in the right place. One man in the US made something he called the Twinkie diet, where all he ate was twinkies, plus multi-vitamins, and he lost around 25 pounds in a couple months... all because he kept his calories under 1800 per day. Thats all you need.
What I use, is a program on my computer called FitDay. It lets you track what you eat, in exact calorie amounts, against how much you can be having, max, along with the levels of exercise you get, and it tracks your weight using graphs and scales. It's been really helpful to me, and if I keep to it, making sure I don't go over my alotted daily calories, I loose weight, pretty easy.

Hi sinichirol. It's nice to meet you and have you here on mylott.
This is a good subject to me right now, as when I went to the doctor last week, I DID NOT LIKE what the scales said. Makes me sick at my stomach. I never had a weight issue until about 4 years ago. Then I went shopping Saturday with my daughter and needed to go up a size on the clothes. Oh....that hurts! I can't handle this.
My plan, which has worked in the past, is to walk as many days as I can and to eat salads and fruits. Oh yes! And definitely switch from regular colas to diet. Regular ones have 150 calories and diets have 0. That will be 450 calories less a day already and that is about 25% of the number of calories I need to intake a day.
Good luck if you are going on one!

Nothing beats eating healthy and properly hydrated in keeping a fit body. Eat right. Have vegetables and fruits in your diet. Make sure you get the proper nutrition. Eat only what is needed by your body. Most of the time, we gain extra pounds because of eating more than needed. And don't forget to lots of liquids. When you have cravings for more food, try reaching for a glass of water instead. Now if you have an underlying medical condition, consult your doctor.

What I think is the most effective way to lose weight is to change your lifestyle. Analyze why you have to lose weight. In what areas of your routine are you neglecting and indulging. From there do cut down a little and live a active life. I am losing weight because I recognize what needs to be change in my life to live a healthy one.

There's no easy way way to loose weight. You need to have a self discipline.Base on my own experience,it is really difficult but you need to be motivated, persistent and determined. The healthier way to loose weight is regular exercise and a healthy diet.

I would say go the natural route. The best way that I know of (which some people just cant handle) is to become a vegetarian. When you cut out all the chemicals and artificial flavors and byproducts in meat and other items with meat byproducts, your body just feels so much better. You feel healthier pretty much right away, and weight loss becomes something very simple. I wouldn't recommend taking supplements and whatever else you may have in mind, as most of them are just scams to get your hard earned cash.
