Hi Everyone!
I am getting married this year and my fiance and I are in the planning and preparing stage. One thing that is bugging me is the wedding souvenirs or giveaways. While, I intend to giveaway a personalized local wine in order to promote the wine in our place, it seems I cannot find a shop that sells wine bottles. If you are in my shoes, can you suggest unique wedding souvenirs and giveaways? The wedding theme is a combination of garden and sunset beach whereas our wedding motif are olive green and lemon yellow. My other option though is having a photo booth which is very famous these days, but what else? Can you help me out?

CONGRATULATIONS Maean! I am so happy with you.
Honestly I can't think of other unique ideas for the souvenirs. But then this can be also possible just in case.
1. Pencil case that is cloth type.
2. Scissors
3. Photo frame

Hi my friend Angel, thanks for the greetings. At last I am going to tie the knot after the storm which I guess you can remember the times. Anyways, I am very happy whom I am with right now.
Anyways, thanks for the suggestions. Although, a pencil case that is cloth type is quite useful, but I can't think of a connection. Well, I think I like the idea of one of the comments here like that of a plant or bonsai.
So, I believe you are still very active here my friend? Take care always.

I am glad you were able to solve problems and now you are finally getting married. Just blog about your supplier's rate after your wedding then I am going to read it.
Yes I am still active here in mylot. Usually answering discussions and posting topics as well.

Hi Maean...
I have ideas, practical ideas but i am not sure if you would like them though but i do find them useful and not like the stuff that you can just use for decorations.
1. Spoon & Fork wrapped in sinamay-pretending-to-be-a-fishnet. Why spoon & fork.. hmm.. well, i guess this pair always come together hehehee
2. Fan... Well, not just any kind of fan... Abaniko fan. While there are those that are made of simple pieces of wood, you can have your fan customized such that it would look like the rays of the sun. Useful & creative too!

Hi Gracee, thanks for the practical suggestions you got there. The truth is, I am also avoiding that usual wedding souvenirs that are simply for display or decoration. I am really considering some useful giveaways. The spoon and fork quite reasonable. Although, the fan may be not in good timing as our wedding will be during cold times...lol! Thanks again my friend.

Hi Neil ...Been a long time that I am not around here and very glad you dropped by and comment to my first discussion with my comeback.
Well, I think it is really the bride-to-be who is more hands-on with the planning and the groom-to-be would just say yes or no to it or simply just agree and approve...hehehe! Oh well, I am looking for a honeymoon sponsor, could you be that person/sponsor?

I am so happy to hear that you are getting married my friend. I am sure you are excited for that day to come. Your wedding plans are great. Your motif is my favorite color. I suggest that you have also make the souvenir same color in your motif. It could either be a thing which people can display in their homes. But anyway, your suggestions are great. It is up to you what you want.

Have you decided already what do you want to have as a souvenir? Seedling or plant souvenir is quite unique my friend. It is good because you are thinking for the good of our planet. That would help us a lot not just to those you have given that souvenir. Even I do really appreciate now those ideas you have in mind. Are all settled already?

congratulations!! you are getting married..i'm sure both of you are very excited and busy in planning out your wedding..
since your motif and theme are connected to each other, you can consider giving cute plants or bonsai as a souvenir..placed in a cute pot with some wrap, and with a tag line that connects your love life and the people around you..it's a souvenir that your visitors will surely take care and won't just place at any place of their house..

My usband and I did something inexpensive, but unique to us. Our favourite tree is the Canadian COFFEE CRISP bar. These are easy to find, and can be bought in any variety store. However, we jazed them up by wrapping each one in blue paper with a white ribbon, including a paper flag from one of our countries (I'm Danish-Canadian, and he's Russian0-American so we had one of either of the four flags decorating each package), along with personalized labels. They looked really great! Everyone loved them. They were very inexpensive too, since we were on a budget, and since we wrapped them and labeled them ourselves, they were very personal and sentimental to our guests, and the guests enjoyed the chocolate treat too.

Having a photo booth is a good souvenir so that your guests will remember your wedding.I can also suggest to have plants as your souvenir because it's not a common giveaway.

Hi Maean, first of all i would like to wish you "Congratulation for getting married soon. Hopefully both of you will have eternal love together forever". Don't forget to drop by whenever you have the free time, to have some chat with all of us in here. I think the wedding souvenirs need not to be something that is very expensive. You can always go for something that is cheap and mini like mini book or pen. And ask someone help you to paint or write uniquely both you and your fiance names and date of marriage on it. That gift would be unique, since it have been written uniquely. Hope by now, you will have ideas to prepare your souvenirs.

hi,
Congratulations on your wedding day and best wishes too! I also dreamed and wished to be married, I hope some day I will find the man who will walk with me down the isle and share vows of love with the blessings of god.
Hence that your theme is garden and sunset beach I guess a cute little BONSAI PLANT will be a nice give away. This is also the kind of give away that I like at my dream wedding. People will not just be happy to have it but they will also takes care of it while remembering your great wedding day moments! Hope you will like my suggestions! cheers!

Wow! Back in the days when I got married (both times) we didn't give out party favours at weddings. I don't attend a whole lot of weddings either but I wonder what people do with those party favours. One couple gave out little boxes that contained two chocolates in them and their names and wedding date were printed on the top of the box. That's useful. Yum.
My daughter went to the wedding of a friend's mother and she came home with a little plant. She was supposed to get the table centrepiece as well. That's usually done by game or birthdate closest to the wedding date or something. I think a tiny plant, if not too costly, is a good idea. Just don't get something that's a dust collector that no one will make use of.

Wow Maean... great to hear the good news, Congratulations! I've been married for 15 years and my ideas are kind of old for your wedding. I think the photobooth is a great option as I experience attending some occassion with those. It is a great souveneir and the guest would love to have several photos taken which could also be view through facebook account. For souveneirs, couples here would usually gave a bamboo plant in a vase, which they could take care when they brought it home. I got one and my youngest daughter is in charge with it. Bamboo plant symbolizes long life and prosperity... and of course, it always remind us how to be firm and strong through struggles as you know that married couples would encounter a lot of it along the way. Goodluck and Best Wishes!

Hi Maean. Congratulations to you!I am from China so I will propose cross-stitch embroidery to you.Of course I mean those very simple pattern on handkerchief otherwise it will take you long time to finish. You can make different pattern for your different friends. That would be very unique.
By the way, your idea is very good and creative.
