I am trying to wear all the clothes I ignore...

Just over the weekend I donated about a 13 gallon garbage bag full of clothes and shoes. . Now, looking through my closet of blouses and jeans, I am still finding blouses, sweaters, hoodies, etc - that I haven't worn in at LEAST six months. They are cute, and I probably paid quite a bit for them in total, but for some reason I never wear them.
In fact, out of my 50 shirts or so, I probably only wear 3-4 on a regular basis. . It's ridiculous!
My goal this week is to wear a different blouse or sweater or SOMETHING that does not get any wear, out of my closet. That is my goal. Wear it for a day, and actually incorporate some VARIATION in my outfits! Agh!
Do you do this as well?
Do you have to make a CONSCIOUS effort to dress differently every day? (Not to say I wear the exact same thing every day - but I barely ever get any variation).
Do you ever do this?

I've got lots of relatives who for some reason think that when they come to visit, they have to give me a couple or more shirts (a few give me pants). Although I accept them, and have worn them at least once (to honor the giver), most of them stay in my closet. Like you, I have few 'regulars' that I seem to be wearing in regular rotation.
There are definitely a lot that I 'ignore'. Maybe one of these days I will not ignore them so much.

I have some clothe buried at the bottom of drawers that I don't wear as often, but last month I went through my clothes and tried to move things around so i could use the clothes I don't use as much. most of the time, I just grab the shirt that is on top of the pile.

I think everyone must do it! lol. I told the kids yesterday that this weekend we are going to go through all of our clothes and bring some to Goodwill! It makes more room in the closet and people can still get good use out of the donations. Some even still have tags!!

Being a man, I'm not very keen on clothes. However, this does not mean that I do not keep the clothes. I certainly do not possess all the clothes you like, but in my wardrobe certainly not lacking essential to dress decently. Shirts, pants, underwear all complete, always available. Having said this though I am a person who dresses so I ordered but simple. I do not change every time That I leave the house, this might just do it once every two or three days.

Ditto here.Too damn many clothes but the sad part is I just keep wearing the same things like I have nothing else. I always clean things out once a year and donate all my never or rarely worn clothing.Hmm..wait!Forgot to donate this year I think?

That's a good idea! I thought I sorted out my clothes and put the ones I don't often wear into another closet, waiting to be given away, but I can think of several things left in the bedroom closet that I haven't worn for months. I should make myself wear them, then, if I really don't want to, put them with the other clothes and get rid of them. I have wondered if people get tired of seeing me in the same clothes all the time.

I think most women will have lots of clothes and shoes as well as you and you are not the exception. And you shall not feel guilty to it:) It is good that you will try to wear all of them. At least it is not a waste. Usually I will try to give the clothes which I don't wear often to others. As I am not a person who like wasting.

I would consider this amount of cloth as being so much but it look like you appeal yourself by having cloths that are in excess for me I get ride of cloths that are out of season but once in a while I keep some of them that I loved so much and wear them once in a while.

I have a lot of cloths to wear too. I didn't buy many in the last few years, but I still have a lot that is wearable.
I only wear a few of them on a regular basis, the comfortable ones, mostly because I save the rest for more special occasions, not for work or running errands... Of course I end up never wearing them.

I'm also like this too. It seems like I am wearing the same clothes every time whereas I have so many clothes in my closet that I barely wear. Just like you I have to make a conscious effort to wear different clothes and make good use of the clothes that I buy but never wear or put on rarely...
