It is really part of our lives to become nervous especially when something worst happening or we are preparing something like if we are going to do the presentation, job interviews, stage play, performances and other more things. Nervousness is very unavoidable feeling that it suddenly came inside your hearts. At times we are being nervous because of too much coffee or the guilt feeling. Now my question is whenever you feel this way then how are you going to get rid your nervousness?

Well usually on important exams I used to have this (now I only have one course left so im more relaxed about this :)), the funny thing is that at these times almost every time I got rid of it the same way, when the exams started I almost instantly calmed myself down (like there was a button that I couldn't find before starting the exams :P)so most of the times was productive :)

Nervousness is a part of nearly everybody's life from time to time. It usually becomes when person is not sure about doing something new, but when we keep doing it, we can become less nervous. If we run away from it though, we will be harder to face the next time.. I practice meditation every day, and am (retired) therapist, and I have always suggested to my clients that they take up meditation. It is a little hard to begin with, but once the habit is established, then it can make big improvements to the quality of life. _Derek

Nervousness is one of the obstacles that will hinder our good performance. Sometimes I felt the same way like the rest of the people who are experiencing nervousness and we can not avoid it nor prevent it. If sometimes I get nervous, in order for me to wipe away my nervousness, I always imagining and visualizing myself that I am only rehearsing my presentation from a place full of trees and grasses. The funny part is, when looking through the audience as they look at me and listen, every person I see it appears in my mind they are trees. But anyway, we have our different ways to handle nervousness. If ever I have my presentation, I never forget to bring my drinking water with me because it helps me a lot.

I take big deep breathes and I think to myself "being nervous isn't going to chance what I have to do, it is just making it harder for myself" that seems to work because it is true. Being nervous is a waste of time although sometimes nerves can be good sometimes it can just ruin a experince

If doing some act makes you guilty then i would stop doing such an act.As far as interviews and presentations are concerned i'll prepare better to avoid nervousness.I'll try to take my mind off the topic which is making me nervous,so that i can relax.I try to think of the words of inspiring leaders or spiritual leaders to divert my mind and remove nervousness.

Whenever I feel the state of nervousness growing inside I try to relax and tell myself that no matter what will happen life is beautiful and it has to go on;I also try to think about something pleasant or sing a tune that comes to my head, and it usually helps me feel less tense.I can't get rid of the nervousness completely, but I usually manage to diminish its effects and I go on with the things I have to do as long as tell my self that no matter what happens it won't be the end of the world and better times will surely come.

Usually, I try to think rationally. Nervousness is an emotional state. I just put aside my emotions & just think rationally in concentrating on an activity or a situation. But unfortunately, I have these bouts of anxiety which keeps me awake. I'll drink herbal tea, & listen to quiet or dramatic music. Sometimes nothing works when I go thru these anxious bouts. I have to wait a day or 2. But usually, I'm not nervous enough that I can't sleep. But I feel nervous at least 3 times a week but, as i said before I think rationally & it works.

There were a lot of times that I felt nervous. These are the times when I do something new for the first time or something that is affecting me in some areas of my life. When I felt nervous, I just try to be calm and pray. Gaining the confidence is difficult at times. I think that there's a positive thing about being nervous. It is a natural instinct that we do when we are not sure about what to do. Sometimes, I listen to my nervous instinct, but most of the time, it is not a good master to follow.

as you say nervousness is all too common at important times in life. i find that when a nervous situation arises i say to myself in 5 minutes it will be over and 5 minutes isnt that long at all think beyond the current situation that is making you nervous. if that doesnt work i try to breathe deeply or hum a tune in my head and if all else fails let the nerves out and laugh. everyone has nerves and everyone will deal with them differently its finding what works for you at that certain time.

Whenever I am about to do presentations or performances
in stage plays, I give myself a minute first and then
I excercise my mouth like saying "O-ee-O-ee". Just open your
mouth really wide and big and look at the mirror and you'll laugh
at yourself and then you'll feel better. I also punch really hard
10 times in the air to psych myself up, to get the blood flowing,
and to stop shaking before the performance.

I easily get nervous in certain things. Hahaha.. But what i do is that, sometimes, i take deep breaths and tell my mind that relax.. relax.. everything's going to be ok. And if that didn't work, i smoke. i don't know if it really helps, but it works for me, although i know that it will make me more nervous or something. But i still feel the calming effect of it. LOL. Just think positive.

Feeling nervous is normal reaction for me specially if I'm going to have an interview from the Big boss of the Company where I applied, doing a thesis defense with a Panel members that came from other places and lastly I feel nervous if my crush is talking to me because I'm afraid if he will know about my hidden feelings to him..hehhehe ,.. But I coped it all through thinking positively that I can do it . Through nervousness it make my mind and body alert, awake and enthusiastic. . And I love it since it makes my voice louder ..

Whenever I felt nervous, sometimes i just close my eyes and think of happy moments that happened to me. Sometimes i will just drink water. But most of all, I always prayed to God when i felt nervous.
