Why are people just plain mean?

I have posted a couple of questions on here and people have bit my head off. Why can't people disagree yet still be considerate? It's okay if we disagree. We are each entitiled to our own opinion. Neither one of us is right or wrong. We just have different opinions. Life would be boring if we all felt the same. I respect your opinion even if it is different than mine. I expect that some of you will be quite negetive. I'm considering not returning if all I'm going to get is inconsiderate, rude responses.

May be they are from another planet, or just come out from different exit at the time they are born. To be mean to one other is part of their acceptable culture and tradition to prove that they are the only righteous people on earth while all other are inferior and wrong. Yes, we can always be nice to each other no matter how much or how little we disagree, after all, it is just an opinion, no need to wage war against each other just because WE DISAGREE OVER A DISCUSSION

I agree... I have had this happen to me before as well. The best thing you can do is ignore it, or confront it, whichever. I have gotten very irritated by people who point-blank are incredibly rude. For example, looking for advice/experiences in a discussion, I had someone say rudely that basically they refused to tell me anything because they weren't a 'doctor'. When I was looking for others' experiences. Gah. I was super annoyed. I tend to not start discussions that are really controversial because they've been done over and over again, but also because there are people out there who want to pick fights with you (and that seems to be their sole purpose on MyLot). I like DISCUSSING politely & respectfully, but arguing? No thanks. Anyway. I hope your experience starts to get better here on MyLot. And don't forget, there are a lot of us on here that are pretty nice and respectful.

yes it is not necessary to be rude on here, if one doesn'r ageww they should just move on, I have learnt to do this just recently, mainly on Facebook I had to change my ways, on Mylot I have never had a problem really...

I suppose you are going to find this whereever you go. People can be rude and downright mean. The best thing to do in my opinion is to thank them for their opinion and leave it at that. You can also choose to ignore their response as well. Not everyone will agree with what you say because they have their own ideas and opinions on a subject just as you or I do. If they should become downright nasty or harrassing then I would definately report them. Good Luck.

Because they are unhappy, or maybe not even a good person. Good people and happy people are sensitive about how others will receive so they talk kindly or at least try to. Meaningness, when not coming from a teenager it just show how low and unhappy an adult human is.

I totally agree with you. It annoys me so much when people say "It's the truth. Live with it." and stuff like that. It is NOT the truth. It's is your OPINION. Unless it's something like oranges are fruit, then yeah, it's the truth. But when it's something like "That jacket doesn't look good on you. The other one does." blah blah blah, it's the truth lalala, it annoys me so much for some reason. People should respect each other's opinions and not be stubborn in an argument. Not all people are like this though, so I hope your questions get nicer answers.
