Hmm, i love eye liners they make your eyes look bigger and more expressive. But after a few hours of application, i get dark smears right under my eyes and in the end i look as if i havent slept for years. And it looks messy and dirty. I dont know if its about the brand of pencil i use or theres something wrong with my application... do you encounter such? Pls give me an advice. Thanks

It depends on the brand but also on the type of skin or what kind of cream you use under it.
also make the line from the outside to inside (to the nose).
Try to find out too if you don't "rubb" your eyes.
I can't use a pencil it doesn't stick for some reason, so I use the old fashioned kayal (have to take it out of the pot en put it on with a small stick or pencil) it works fine unless my skin is very dry then it's gone in no time. I use vaseling first, put it on it.. too much vaseline and it smears out as well. If my skin is in normal state it stays without vaseline or putting other cream first whole day and is even there next day.

I used to have the same problem but what I do is after I put the eye liner on I go over it with a slanted stiff makeup brush that has a fine tip and has been coated with black eyeshadow. The eyeliner tends to smear but the eyeshadow sticks to it and usually keeps it from making circles on my eyes where I dont want them to be. Also after doing this I take pressed power and rub it under my eyes where there is no eye shadow and it keeps it from getting oily there and keeps the eyeliner from rubbing off on it. I use cover girl eye liner and pressed power. I use victoria secret black eye shadow to put over the cover girl eye liner.
