I like talking about my cats. I love dogs too so if you have one of them, please share or any other animals/pet. Some funny things my cat KC does is try to 'race' me in the liv room when I'm walking past her on the other side of the dining room table, and if I'm on the same side she sometimes tries to "grab" or tag my leg while walking with me. She kind of "stole" my mom's holiday leprachaun doll from the display area where my mom had it and stuffed it into her box once and she's kept it ever since. We found another exact same doll but smaller than that one and we got it for her too, recently. It appears to me that she might like it due to the colour but not sure. Does your cat or pet seem to have a colour he/she responds to most somehow?

the most funny thing my cat does is that when ever she is lying on the carpet try to sleep but if suddenly if any bird come in the balcony .she goes slowly like if she is gonna hunt that bird and try the caught that but fail all time, and most amazing is that is some paper scrap tries to move by wind she seem to take it like a mouse and run to catch it

Yes, they do think they can still hunt and get the animals outside when they are indoors. My cat has done that with other animals, even cats. At night in the summer if she goes in the window with it open and another cat comes up close to her she will go into a hissy fit and start making all kinds of loud cat fight noises in the house while the other cat is outside thinking the cat can still "get to her". She has even done this in the middle of the night, scary thing I tell ya to hear.

I don't have a cat but I do have an adorable but naughty Cockatiel called Seventy. He can say over 20 different phrases, his favourite being, 'Cup of tea!', whistles and bops to his favourite TV theme tunes of NCIS and Hawaii Five-O. He loves to have his head tickled and will 'park' himself under either hand for a little TLC! If I put something into his food-bowl that he doesn't approve of, he will fling it onto the floor of his cage in disgust!

Wowsers, 20 phrases, that is so many! He is so smart. I would like to see him dancing to those TT themes, that would be hilarious. I have seen birds do that on youtube. and it made my day. You can't be depressed after watching that. He is so cute, wanted his head tickled. And flinging unwanted food is funny. Thanks for sharing, your post made my day.

my cats don't steal our toys, but they are known to break them! I have had cats try to tag me, but a few times of getting kicked (accidentally I assure you, but that's what you get trying to tag a blind person) they stop - however, it hasn't helped keep them from being stepped on!

Awe, sorry they have broken some of your toys Elic. None of my cats have ever done that to my knowledge, it's people who are breaking things of mine, on the contrary. Sigh. I'm sorry they get accidentally kicked, I have accidentally almost stepped on mine too. I sat on my cat in the dark once in the living room years ago when the lights were off and the phone rang. Luckily he wasn't hurt, and my reflexes were really great. Meaning i got up really fast without crushing him, and good thing I was not heavy either.

Oliver got his foot rather badly stepped on last night, but he really just never moves, and he's grown up in this house and is the most stepped on of the lot!

All my animals are a bit on the "odd" side. My Mom and I used to swear that we could bring a normal animal into the house and they would get one sip of our water and would go from being normal to being totally crazy! We had one dog that would retrieve not sticks but huge logs. He also preferred to rescue huge rocks. One day he found a log that he just had to rescue. It wouldn't have been so bad except that his log was actually a tree stump! I was sure that I would have to rescue him and do CPR! Khuay's antics are on the pages of MyLot. He definitely a unique cat with his actions and his sense of humor. From stealing clothes and dragging them down the hallway between his legs, to falling into the full bathtub after playing Tarzan while trying to catch a spider, to who knows what is going to happen next. His kitty mind is always active and keeping getting himself into strange situations with his antics. He keeps everyone laughing. Willy, Khuay's brother, isn't quite as busy as Khuay. He doesn't do all the gymnastics and fiendish pranks that his brother does. Willy's one quirk is that he loves to drink his water off the floor of the bath tub. If there isn't any water there for him he will yell until I go in and scoop several handfuls out of their drinking bucket and drizzle it on the tub floor. The dogs and the other two cats are pretty laid back and don't require too much attention. C.D.'s quirk is that he loves to roll up in his blanket to sleep. His favorite blanket has more holes in it than a Swiss cheese. But his bunkmate, Little Bit, is the typical little old man. You could see him in your mind's eye with his pants belted around his ample waist, his heavy weight glasses perched on his nose and his hearing aid set on high so he can still not hear everything that people say. Little Bit is going blind and depends on his memory and CD's assistance a LOT. He has the family room memorized so getting round the family room memorized so he has no problem getting around. And I make sure that the path from their enclosure is clear so that Little Bit doesn't hurt himself coming and going from the couch. I haven't rearranged furniture in several months (since I found out that Little Bit started going blind and deaf) Everyone else is pretty much "normal" as far as I can see. But that depends on various contributing factors like if the moon is full or not. I wouldn't want to live without my characters, it makes each day a new day in entertainment that cannot be duplicated.

These stories sure cheer me up, I think it's so funny of your dog trying to "rescue" an actual tree stump, was it still in the ground? Hilarious! I have heard of cats stealing things like clothes too, and him paying Tarzan and trying to catch a spider, all these thoughts make me giggle, thanks for the smiles when I need them the most! Yelling for his bathtub water to drink, that Willy is a character. Good thing he has you to get it for him, he has a strange habit, LOL. Pets don't care if their fave blankie is as holy as swiss cheese, they know it has their scent on it and is comfy as anything so will continue to use it until it disintigrates. Poor Lil Bit, I'm glad he has the room memorized for him to find his way around. Blind pets have a hard time of it sometimes. I can't imagine any of your pets living with anyone but you, they so love it there.

Three days ago I was clipping my toe nails. Khuay (one of the Siamese) came in and watched me intently. There is never any telling what is going on in his mind! He was fascinated by my trimming my toe nails and sat and watched through the whole process. Last night I needed to clip a fingernail. I searched all over for my nail clippers and couldn't find a one. I searched and searched until...there came Khuay with a nail clippers in his mouth. He went through the room and to his scratching post. Littered around the post were a half a dozen nail nippers! He was trying to get the point across to this large cat that I was to deal with my nails like they do, on the scratching post!

my female cat has this habit.she will lay down and pretend to sleep near the doorway. whenever someone cross the doorway, she makes a swipe with her paws and pretend to sleep again. twice she swiped my pants before i caught her.they sure know how to look innocent. my male white cat was sleeping day.he got up,stretched his body.suddenly i heard a sound and found him laying sideways in the exact spot. apparently, the tiled floor didn't work very well for stretching and he got slipped.
