So I have started working out this week. I am very proud of myself for keeping it going. I get at least 45 minutes of cardio in every day and I am doing core exercises as well. I am changing my eating habits as well. I cannot wait to see results but I know that will take time. I am using the sparkpeople website and they have given me some great thing to aim for. My problem is sweets, Do you know of a great low cal sweet that wont make me go into a calorie frenzy????

Water is so good. I have been drinking upwards of 3 quarts a day lately. I put the Crystal Light type flavor packets in it. Or the new Mio liquid flavoring. It is like a little treat to drink lemonade or another flavor. It sometimes kills my craving for cookies or cake.

I don't know of a low cal sweet. I recently lost 24 lbs, have 10 more to go. I have been working with the premise that portion control is the key with sweets and carbs. I can have one cookie. If I find myself reaching for another, I remind myself of the weight I lost and how good I feel or, before I lost it how good I will feel, when I reach my goal and is another cookie worth the calories and the delay it will cause in reaching my goal.
Also, since my stepson seemed to be part of my over eating of sweets problem, if I didn't eat it fast he did and then I didn't get any, I hide my treats in my room so I can eat them slowly and stay on my diet.
I find I really like the fruit strips from Target, the Archer Farms brand. Also, I love Quaker Strawberry granola bars with the yogurt on the bottom.
I need some good core exercises and some exercises to blast these thunder thighs.

hi keasling!
wow a 45 min cardio! that's great coz my instructor in gym would only let me use the tredmil for only 15 to 20 min before and after work out , try to have a black chocolate and also try to put your diet into low fat low glycemic food this is what im doing now to lessen my cravings in sweet foods.
