Thoughts on work

I believe that work then is nil if it is egoistic rather than altruistic, that is, at the service to others. How could a person affirm his humanity if others could scarsely provide for themselves? Isn't inhuman to fill our belly while others languish of starvation? This glaring reality,matter-of-factly,is very evident in my belligerent society. While others enjoy the pleasures in life, others hardly clothe themselves with
descent clothing. Thus, the dignity of work lies in helping others rise from their dismal condition. In this case, we could truly affirm our being human not only to our selves whom God told us to love.

We should work for ourselves and for the money we can earn. We shouldn't lavish ourselves with many things and then boast of them. We shouldn't take from poor to give to the rich. I believe that if we are to treat ourselves to niceties, that we should not boast of them and make the others feel poorly because of it. I also believe that those who've the money to lavish themselves, should not take money from the poor.
