Working from home or a regular office job. What do you prefer?

I am currently working from home. Has a virtual boss who currently lives in the USA. I work at the convenience of my home, yes, and I am paid well through Paypal or sometimes if I request my pay to be sent the faster way, I get paid via Western Union. I'm like working in a callcenter with Admin type of jobs to do everyday but I'm just working at home. That is the only dif'rence but with the salary, it's definitely way higher than how office employees are earning, especially if you live in the Philippines. How about you, what do you do? What do you prefer doing, working from home or Working in a regular office?

I also work at home and I feel very, very blessed to have this opportunity. I love working on my computer and it's convenient.... sometimes I even work in my night gown. Life is good!

Exactly! I feel you and even if I've to switch back to a career that would make me work to a regular office, I still ended up leaving the job and get back to working from home. Lol.

Indeed, only by working at home then only we are able to clothe according to our desire. We don't have to worry about what type of clothes we need to wear daily while working from home. Totally different type of environment as working in the office.

I love working in regular office. You know, it is much more challenging.. hehe I have plan to make it true, since now i am still studying in college. However, in my opinion, just love what you do, then it will give you more satisfication. :)

I tried working in a call center for about two years. I really could say that it was a strenuous job. As of right now, I working at home. And I find it quite fine rather than working in an office.

Same here. This was my kind of thing before too. I was working in a call center industry and I also gave it up because I chose to work from home. And yes, right now, I prefer this work at home job than having to go to an office.

I would love if i could get a work from home job that pay as well as a office job . I am yet to fine one so I rather stick to y day job at the moment . If I was to get a callcentre job like you I would consider it because I would much rather flexi time.

Yeah, having a full-time job helps a lot but it is always possible to work full-time and just still work from home.

For the past 30 years or so I have worked for myself in an office at home and I much prefer it that way. Before that I was a professional musician and used to take jobs during the day from time to time, but they were never in an office. They were usually jobs where I worked alone, most driving in the sales branch of most companies. I prefer working alone I guess. )_Derek

Wow, sounds good that you are doing well in making money online. I wish I could have done same too but my eyes are really affected by being in front of the computer for many hours. I was making money online too after I graduated from college. My family told me not to teach right away but to concentrate on my review. I was really bored reading all day so I decided to search the net for money making opportunities. I found one that gives me satisfying payment monthly. As of now, I am a professional teacher and I am earning good. I will still prefer my job now than an online job because it is also difficult to find a job that can satisfy not only my financial needs but also the needs of my whole family. Well, if I can have an online job like yours, much better especially now I am in my vacation.

Working from home is the more superior option for me. Of course it is rather not without it is own challenges for sure. And not everyone does have the mental discipline to do it. You have to make your own time, and stay on task on yourself. Of course, given that people sometimes have trouble staying on task in a regular office, perhaps they might as well function a lot better in their own home environment and get a lot more work done. Working from home offers many benefits, with one of them naturally meaning that there is absolutely no traffic to deal with. That makes working home be a very attractive option for many. Especially when you have to deal with the insane weather that sometimes is out there. I think that working from home requires you to take the keys to your own life and be the master of what you are doing right out there in your work.

As a student, it is a blessing for me to have this opportunity to work part-time in an online job and at the same time studying. I'm still new to this kind of work and I still want to know how far I could go with a home-based job. Maybe in the future, I would still have a regular full-time office job and at the same time a par-time online home-based job. At least in that way I could earn more and have a bigger income.

I prefer to work at home. But unfortunately, I can't find that kind of opportunity. Help please! I am forced to work in a company where I need to travel everyday for 1 hour from my place to the office. And also I am forced to live apart from my family though I missed them so much but I have no choice since I need to earn money. Anyone, who can help me find a work from home? Thanks =)

I have a job, and when time persist I also freelance on odesk. For me a Regular office job is preferable. I feel working online from home making a decent income in this part of the world it is difficult. I am a Software Engineer working for an MNC in Chennai, India.

Yes i have heard of this. I have a friend who has a virtual boss in the US too and she is earning around 3k a week for a minimum of 4 hours a day..she also do some admin stuff. I tried applying but i stopped after just a few weeks because my internet connection at home isn't that fast. If i get an internet connection would you recommend me? But i am working full time in an office and it is tiring and people are demanding. How i wish i could just stop. But i set myself for a year more in this job and i will stop. I want to work at home, maybe a business will be good as my i could also look after my kids, be there when they get home, bake for them..or just play with them if i want to.

Kccry, you are indeed very lucky to have found a good virtual boss who are paying well to you. Indeed working from home is great and the earning is great as well if we are able to find a good paying job. As for me, since i don't have much time to online, so i don't have the chance to earn well from it yet. But, i do hope in future i will have the chance to earn well from it as well. I like the concept where, we can dress according to our desire, when we are working.

its nice to work at home but its hard to look for a job like that. You must be good enough to have a job which can be home based. I think working at home can be fun but can also be boring. The fun part of working in an office is your interaction with the other employees, you can have friends, and not so close friends. The christmas parties are also nice. It can be sometimes tiring when you have to get up early to go the office, unlike in home based where you control your schedule.

I would prefer working from home. Not having my boss and gossiper colleagues in the same room with me all day would be a relief, lol. The only problem with working from home is that I don't have a separate room right now. Having my family members asking questions and doing things every five minutes doesn't make the work effective. If I could make them respect my working hours, then maybe. I think that's the reason we are not offered work-from-home jobs in this country.
