Hi guys! We have to face reality that some of us or most of us have debt. Anyone have a suggestion how can we be debt free? How did you pay off your debt?

I agree with you Runite. This month was the first month I maxed out my card. It's because of those online shopping sites that I frequently visit. Now, I've decided to stop this madness and only buy the things I need. I promise not to use my card until I paid it full. I'm working so hard to reach my goal.

If you strictly follow the simple rule of 'cut your coat according to your cloth', then I am sure one would be able to be debt free.

Yes Chloe i am in the same position. Huge debts to deal with. But there is no point is losing heart. We must work hard and earn to clear off our debts. I am trying hard to get incomes from various sources including online. I have a business too. But we need to believe in ourselves to overcome the financial mess

I like many others are in debt, but sadly most of it is medical bills because we have no insurance. after fighting for years the Veterans Administration is finally helping randy with medical expenses. I have some credit card debt and am hoping once I get my copies of my credit reports I can try to clear them up. Randy has a medical condition and is unable to work and since he needs medical care I have to stay at home and help him (as I do not want to hire a nurse or put him in a nursing home). I am making money online and we are also in school so I am hoping once we get our credit reports we can get our debt down. I am hoping to pay it off soon. I had gotten my tax return and had put most of it into savings. Once I get my financial aid money I will be puttimg some of that into savings as well. I am currently living with my parents and things have been tough. My parents (mostly my mother) wants us to give them money every month and I told her we agreed that I would pay the gas bill and also help out with food. It is hard feeding a household of 5 on two hundred a month.
I feel the best thing to do is set up a budget and if posisble find out how much you owe in debt and see if you can negotiate payments with your creditors. I would also try to have a savings account. save your change and you will be surprised how much it adds up.

Yes, and most of individual have mountain of debt due to lack of financial literacy. They don't have plan for their future and they don't know how to SAVE. Learn how to save first and you would eliminate the instance of being in debt. Educate our self in terms of handling our finance.
