Yeah it's a nice treat for a couple to be able to celebrate their anniversary together. It takes effort and planning to accomplish it though. Especially when finances are tight. Then we have to cut cost in other areas of our life.

Yes I can completely understand what you are saying. Going away for a weekend or a longer trip can get pretty costly quickly. I hope that you both will be able to figure out something that you will enjoy. I know that I'm planning a surprise weekend getaway for my husband in July and it's already adding up to be a lot. And it's only for two nights. So he better enjoy it :).

Congratulations on ten years. My marriage didn't last that long. In any case I think a nice little mini vacation to the beach would be a very nice thing, and maybe some moonlit strolls and dancing to ya'lls song.
Again congrats.

Congrats mine is July 18th and it is our one year, so I am gonna make sure that I do something nice for us. He is always doing everything, so I am gonna put something together this time and see where it goes. I am so excited and at the same time scared, because I don't know what I want to do and how I want to do it. I still have a few months cause then the month after that it is his birthday haha.

We went away for a long weekend on our ten year anniversary, that was three years ago. This year we did not do much as we just didn't have the time or money to do anything. We quietly exchanged small tokens and left it at that. We are planning to go away again in two years at the fifteen year mark though. Then a big trip on the twentieth. Ireland I think.

I'm glad that you were able to get away for your ten year anniversary. I know the feeling of not having the time or money to get away. For the last three years we haven't been able to do anything as far as going out of town. I'm hoping though to change that. As I feel taking a vacation should be a yearly thing. We haven't had the money but I'm hoping that if I continue to save that I will be able to have us go for a weekend trip once a year. Nothing extravagant just to go away and spend time together. That is great that you have planned things for your fifteenth and twentieth. I'm sure you both will have a great time in Ireland.
