Cute is a not a good way to decide whether a digital camera is good or bad :-)
Actually, in some cases, they make them in pink, blue etc should so that someone'll think the camera is cute and pay more just because of that. What you want it something big, black and bulky ;-) The bigger the better, size really matters in this case *hehe*
Seriously, go to a camera store and ask if you can try it. At least they should let you try it in the shop to see if you like how it handles.

For some cameras it is the same as for the small laptops, some colours cost more than others. No other difference, so you end up paying quite a lot of a layer of colour :-)
I've got a black Acer mini laptop, the black version as the blue and pink versions were 50 dollars more.

One of my teachers owns this camera and he calls it stupid all the time. I own the Sony Cybershot, but I went and did some snooping online and found all the pros and cons of the Nikon S3100 :). To start off the pros, it is an excellent value for a camera. it's not overly priced or very expensive. The Nikon S3100 has a great battery life, one said it lasted three days in a row. Another pro is that it starts up quickly. As for cons, it has a poor LCD screen along with the focus or zooming. There is also this long lag response between each photo, the longest being ten seconds. The video does not record to smoothly and also never record someone in motion, it will not catch anything but a blur from the person you are trying to take a picture of. Overall, it's a great choice for someone who does expect much and will not do much with this camera. I hope this helped!

Wow... I wasn't really expecting those. I thought this would be a great choice. It did say it has 14 megapixels so I thought picture quality would not be a problem.. Thanx for sharing though.. This really helped..
