I'm having a 450W Hytech PSU, I'm planning to get a ASUS GTX550 ti card. Its minimum power requirement as stated in Nvidia site is 450watt
MY specs are:
Core i7 870
DH55TC Motherboard
2x2GB Ram
Seagate 160GB
WD 640 GB
WD My Passport Essentials 1TB(External HDD)
LG DVD Rom
Nvidia 8600GT it will be replaced with GTX550Ti
The problem is i dont have native 6pin power supply from my PSU also to use the 2x3pin to 6 pin power adapter given along with the card i need 2 3pin cables.. but i have only one 3pin cable left out all other are connected to HDD and DVDroms.
Hytech is not a branded company so i fear if i connect the graphic card removing the DVD my PSU might not perform well also i fear the PSU might damage the HDD or Motherboard
I need your suggestion on this whether to keep this PSU or replace it.
Also is Zebronics good PSU the other ones like antec and Cooler Master are too costly i need somthing below Rs.1500k

Dear friend, by your request, I suppose, _sure you're not certainly a person who "is content with little." I believe that a multimedia system like that, not me I will never allow in my life. However, I respect you because you are a passionate, and even computer hardware. Seen that the electronics you buy, it is very expensive, my advice is definitely NOT to connect the graphics card to Hytech, as you yourself said it is having a subbrand, I do not would risk damage to equipment.

You need to buy the native 6pin power supply from your PSU and to use the 2x3 to use the 6 pin power supply. Don’t use power supply that is not compatible to your hardware because it might damage your PSU. Using compatible power supply will help the operating system of your PSU run fast and without any problems.
