It's common knowledge that in soap-opera-land children tend to experience some miraculous growth spurts, they leave the city to reside elsewhere or go to boarding school and return to their hometown adults ready to conquer the world. Well the writers of Y & R went overboard with the character of Kyle Jennings Abbott. Little klye jennings who was approximately 10 years old when his mother was killed somewhere around October,November of 2011, will be returning to GC as a grown @ss man who has completed college and attained a degree, which means he'll be in his twenties. I mean come-the-hell-on. Yesss we know the show is based on fiction, yesss we know the characters are fictious, but OMG, really???? The writers couldn't insert some level of reality to the fiction? At the very least, he could've come back a teenager, but dont bring him 10 yrs older in a couple months time. The character of kyle is due to make his return April 27,2012. The writers of Y & R are seemingly losing brain matter by the day, because undoubtedly for me, this is about the worst story line ever.

It is a stretch but they and other shows have done such rapid aging in the past. This time it is to the extreme but I think about 10 years has been done before on Y&R, One Life To Live and some others. Abby was jumped close to that amount and then a short time later was jumped again by several more years. Most of the time I have been able to tolerate it eventually but this one I think will be hard to take.

Yes I'm in complete agreement with you it's utter an total nonsense. I don't normally take note of things like that on a soap opera, but no man they're overdoing it with the age stretching .

They are bringing back Cricket (or Christine, but I liked when they called her Cricket), Lauralee Bell, and the character of Danny next month. I can't remember the real name of that actor. Did you like them? I always loved Lauralee Bell.
