Does anyone have any suggestions for me. Here is the problem....I have 3 dogs that are small terrier type (chihuaua/poodle) and 1 beagle. EVERY time someone walks by my house, pulls into my driveway or even across the street they go crazy barking and barking and even when I go to them and tell tem to stop and pet them etc they don't listen and will continue to bark at everything until its gone. They even do this to me if I drive off when I come back and get out of the car. They are not puppies (15 yrs to 5 yrs) and it is really wearing on my nerves to listen to them constantly. I am trying to care for my ill elderly parents and I just don't have the tolerance for all the noise and confusion lately. I have even seriously considered taking them to the shelter but I cant do that. I love them all. Im just really frustrated. Any ideas? Thanks

Dogs are just territorial. You need to understand that your dogs are barking because they wanted to show that how protective they are and how they are willing to risk their lives just to protect you from people outside your home. Better if you relocate them on where they don’t see any people passing by.

For your situation I'd recommend a bark collar of any type for them to wear when your unable to help them understand not to bark. When you do have time, look into some professional training. I'm a dog trainer myself, so if you'd like, feel free to PM me to talk on this further.
