Celebrities and marriage

While watchin Kris TV this morning, I mentioned to my mOther that Kris & James Yap were really friends after their annulment then my brother said "Why do celebrities have a lot of wife/husband?". It's like a trend in the wOrld of showbiz, husbands equals to boyfriends. Why marry in the first place when it'd end up in divorce/annulment? The way I view marriage, it's an everlasting bond with the one you love. I do sound like a hopeless romantic.
