do they really exist?

I've watch a few movies and documentaries that talk about the existence of aliens. I've always been interested about the idea of other beings existing aside from us humans here on earth. Although it has not been really proven if these aliens do exist since there hasn't been enough proof but I mean wouldn't it be interesting if they did exist?
There have been several documentaries that have focused on this matter. Most have shown amateur videos sent by ordinary joes who have had "encounters" with these aliens. Some say that they have spotted UFOs that just appear out of nowhere and then disappear immediately. Some even claim that they've gotten close to these beings as to even riding into their spaceship and being returned to earth after several years. There were even those who shared that some of their family members or friends have disappeared after being taken by these aliens. The list of experiences goes on and on and it seems that everybody has something to share. But the question remains if these creatures do exist or they're just a figment of our minds and we force ourselves to believe that indeed they do exist. What do you think?

The universe is BIG, and it continues to expand as I heard from some specialist in that field. Consider the millions of creatures and stuff we have in just a tiny Earth, what about other galaxies and planets out of the Milky Way? I would not feel wrong to believe that there is such living beings out there which we call them Aliens and they would call us aliens too. 
Though I think some of the so call "encounter" may not be real while some are as there is definitely no proof to support their claim.

Hi ats_gemelle,
They do exist here and are much much advanced than us.
This universe is expected to be approximately 14 billion years old and our earth is only approximately 5 billion years old.
Probability is mathematics and if we consider probability, there will be so many civilizations existing in this universe even before our planet existed and for a minute imagine about their technology, a civilization 5 billion older than us. (Those are the people worshipped as gods on our planet)
All around the world we have so many proofs available but it's not told to general people because of obvious reasons. Check this URL, you will understand how they influence our civilization:

As vast as this universe is we cannot dispute the fact that there is the possibilty of other life out there. I do not believe that we are the only ones. I remember seeing something many years ago during a storm. I was watching the sky and when the lightening flashed there was something big just sitting in the sky, when it flashed again it was over 300 feet away and then gone. I do not believe it was a weather balloon. I did not see a bunch of lights, it just sat there in the sky for a few seconds and was gone.There were several other people who saw the very same thing that I saw that night as well. I believe anything is possible.

I believe as we are a tiny speck in this huge universe, it would be arrogant of us to think we are the only ones here.
We have just barely scratch the surface of the whole universe, who knows these beings might live somewhere in the great beyond where we could never reach nor go.
But wasn't there a report? Disclosure? Where top officials of the governments and military personnel of many countries testify that they were encounters of humanoids or human-like beings with greater technology no human has ever seen?

I believe aliens do exist as there are billions of galaxies out there filled with planets but as for alien contacts such as UFO, that is something I have to disagree upon as most of the people who were "contacted" by movie styled based aliens, now I'm quite sure the governments would've noticed some spaceships entering our galaxy by now if there were aliens.

Aliens for sure exist somewhere out there.So many galaxies,filled with so many stars,surrounded by so many planets...There are a lot of different kinds of aliens,maybe millions kinds of different species.
But i don't think they have gotten any close to the Earth.All the reports of UFO's or aliens are very untrustworthy ,there isn't a single direct proof.If there were aliens around or on Earth ,we would have known by now,that's for sure.
And as i said,i believe there are different species,so most of them wouldn't be so technically developed,others will be beasts or microorganisms ,and very few would be advanced technically (at least more advanced than humans).
