I have never put up items with the option for buyers to "Buy it Now" until recently, a day ago, when they had a promotion going on where it is free and there isn't any additional fee to it.
I have already had ONE person use the buy-it-now feature to buy one of my lots. I put my "BIN" price as a little higher than I would expect the bidding to get to, so I was surprised when a girl bought them! But happy! So I put the feature on the other lots I have put up, too.
Do you normally use the Buy it Now feature on eBay? Do you find that you do better when you do?
And how much does it normally cost, do you know? .
Happy eBaying!

As a buyer I definitely like the buy it now option as there is no waiting for me and I can just go for a sale there and then. I have been shopping on ebay for a long time and I cannot remember the time when I took part in an auction and started placing bids. There's nothing wrong with that of course but it definitely is personal choice and I always choose the buy it now option if available. I can't speak from the standpoint of a seller as I have never sold anything offering the buy it now option but rather I have always sold items that required a starting bid. Andrew

I don't use ebay to buy or sell but have thought about doing it to buy from recently. Now I have looked before and I do know what the buy it now feature is. I think most people would much rather go for it then to bid because bidding can get too high. Maybe the woman expected that that was a good price, who knows.

It depends on what the item is whether I use the "buy it now" or bid. I buy frontline off ebay on occasion and have had better luck with the buy it now than bidding. Sometime the buy it now ends up being cheaper than a previous item I was bidding on and got outbid. On the other hand I've gotten some great deals by bidding instead of the buy it now.
I haven't sold anything off ebay in a long time, so don't know what the normal cost is. I buy things here and there off ebay. I've found I can save quite a bit of money on things like car parts and clothes by buying them off ebay instead of going to the stores. The selection is much better too!
