How many blog post is recommended before signing up in adsense?

Okay. I have a blog that took me almost all my time months ago to set up and post researched topics on. However, I get only a few viewers to look at my site so I'm not really earning anything from it. By few I mean me, me, still me and the other guy. Yeah, I get some referrals sometimes but I cannot really make any decent money from it. I tried signing it up in adsense but my account was not approved because I "violated their guidelines" AND I don't have my own domain. So it seems I'm stuck with blogger for now... I would just like to know at least how many posts does one recommend before signing up in google adsense...your opinion on the quantity of blog posts...
