I talked to my boyfriend last time that there was a promo of swimming lesson which I believe he can afford it. He had not yet learned swimming with any kind of strokes or routine that is why I encouraged him to enroll. It came to the point that we were already talking something else that is related to under water. At first he told me that he was been introduced by a friend that is an instructor of scuba diving until they were able to talk each other and oriented something about under water. Then they were able to talk about the Shark Habitat even the facts about Barracuda. The instructor had already experienced on how to deal with the shark especially the barracuda. The shark usually attacks if it sees blood so usually they are checking people if there is wound. The barracuda will attack if you are going to swim fast. Just like what happened to that instructor he had an eye to eye contact with the barracuda then just swum slowly. The other one was playing dead so that barracuda wouldn't attack him. That is why my boyfriend was so excited that he wants to attempt or even try it. When he talked to me about it I just told him that I don't like to do that or even just him without me. That is very risky that he doesn't have any assurance about it. I just even told him that if that is his profession then I will really let him do that thing. Just let those instructors to do their profession and expertise going to the habitat because for sure they already knew the risk and they had to face it. Unlike us if we are going to do that then that is just a hobby and yet that is going to be expensive. I just told him as well that thing shouldn't be our priority especially if someday we are going to get married.

Hello :). I haven't dived in a long time, but it isn't that dangerous if you know what you are doing. Most touristic places for diving are shallow, which avoids most of the complications from depth pressure, and frequented by many people, which makes the animals in them less prone to attack. Also, the excursions are done in groups that always keep in sight range in case something happens. On the other hand, sharks aren't as evil as evil as movies make them to be, they can bite, but usually they just ignore people. Barracudas also suffer from a bad reputation, but the reality is that they hardly ever bite people and only follow people around because they are scavengers and think people are predators so they follow to see if they can get some food. As long as the water isn't that murky (so it can see clearly) and the person doesn't have shinny things that it could confuse as food, the barracuda won't attack people. Since diving exits are only done to see stuff and are cancelled when the visibility is reduced, barracuda attacks are really uncommon. Scuba diving isn't that dangerous, and you can see a lot of beautiful stuff. However most places of equipment rental ask for the license to join their excursions so if he's doing it or you are joining him, you both should get it. About the expensive part, it can be if you have to rent everything, but its a nice way to see if you enjoy it enough to buy your own equipment :).
